#paper 1

Happy things lately. Skiing on the weekends is exhausting because it means doing absolutely everything else during the week after work; and for the first few weeks of the year we were building out our van in the evenings as well, and work was the most stressful it has ever been with the final weeks before our revision deadline for our paper. That deadline was on the first day of our holiday, and we "finished" the van the week after - it's not done but it's done enough to use without worrying about damaging stuff by sleeping in it, and we were both exhausted from the constant work, so we decided to leave it be until spring. The past two weeks since then have still been pretty full on catching up on all the things I didn't do in that time, plus the normal chaos of life, but I feel like I'm slowly coming back to myself and to feeling stronger again. Waking up a little earlier and meditating, starting to journal again, keeping a gratitude list again, and most importantly having some time to rest have altogether made a huge difference and I don't constantly feel like I'm dying anymore. So that's great 🤣 and in the end even though it's exhausting a lot of the time and I was really struggling for a while it does feel worth it - doing both the PhD and the outdoorsy stuff.

okay this was alright i guess, the extract was really good in my opinion, but the creative writing, i chose the “you’ve lost something” one and i wrote about losing my results paper sjfksksoap. also we got to go home early as well at 10:45 wooo!!

Getting my act together. Just 24 days till the first exam. God help us all T~T
