Ibn Umar reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Whoever among you opens the door of supplication, then the door of mercy is opened for him. Allah is not asked for anything more beloved to Him than to be asked for wellness. Supplication benefits by what is sent down and what is not sent down. O servants of Allah, you must supplicate.”

He lives on the principle of ‘nothing attempted, nothing gained’ and is resolved that if he fails he is going to fail while trying to succeed.”

“‏طالما أن الله يعلم بحسن نيتك لا تحزن من سوء نيتهم. As long as Allah knows of your good intentions, don’t grieve over their bad intentions.”

“Allah (swt) told Musa (as) to be nice to Firaun. Firaun tried to kill Musa (as) when he was just a baby. Firaun killed a thousand babies every year. He called himself God. There’s so many reasons to hate Firaun and Allah (swt) says when you go to him, be nice to him. If you have to be nice to Firaun, what about your wife? What about your husband? your children? your parents? your siblings? your cousins? your uncle? These are the people that make us angry. Family makes you really angry, I know. But these are the people that deserve the softest responses from us. We have to change the way we behave with them.”
