"What do ya think of that Ninetales fella? I'm pretty sure he's neat, but at the same time...I have a lil uneasy feelin'..."

I have basic ideas for the metaphors, clichés, and archetypes I want to explore with each character, but I'm so glad I never wrote detailed lore profiles for them.

If I had locked down Bread Girl's lore early on, I wouldn't have been able to adapt her to the story I'm currently writing. Given the direction Ersatz has taken, that's so lucky I didn't do that, because she now gets to have a useful role in supporting the cast and developing the worldbuilding. Lore is basically the "form" that follows the function of the world. Even her name, Panina, is a product of that.

The bailiff characters are an example of this, as their design, clichés/archetypes etc. came after the fact of needing violent smarmy thugs to represent Humber.

But once enough world building has happened, I could write profiles, or at lest for what's been established in the comics so far.
