Having witnessed centuries of handmade textile tradition, the city has seen many changes in preferences of colours, patterns, motifs, borders and styles over the years. Between 350 AD to 500 AD floral patterns, animal and bird depictions gained popularity. By 13th century ‘Butidar’ designs were excessively in demand. With the advent of Mughals & following cultural concoction in 16th century, Islamic patterns like florals and ‘Jali’ or ‘Jaal’ came in vogue, giving a new flavour to Indian fashion trends. Soon in 19th century, Indian designs started showing a close resemblance to Victorian style wall papers and Geometrical patterns (a carry forward of the Mughal Lattice work). Deck!
Deck is an OC. He's short, though he can extend his limbs to become taller, and grouchy. They're kind of like Zooble personality-wise, always trying skip out on adventures, swearing all the time and not willing to put up with Jax's shit.
She's not unfriendly and gets along with most of the other characters but has a zero-bullshit-tolerance and as such really dislikes both Jax and Caine.
I imagine that before they joined the circus they weren't as grumpy, but experienced a mental spiral after joining and basically never recovered, ending up depressed and angry. He never accepted his new reality and still fights against it.
Percival!
Made as a sona who's taken on a bit of their own personality. Their outfit is inspired by my two favourite clowns - Harlequin and Pierrot.
Percy experienced a similar spiral to Deck after joining and ended up with depression, remaining bed ridden for a few weeks before Ragatha and Pomni were able to talk him out of it. Though he's not as aggressive or grumpy as Deck, he does have general anxiety.
Somewhat more sympathetic than Deck, he wonders if Jax has a reason for acting out, but is too scared of him to approach him. They also noticed Caine's change in demeanour during the gun adventure and worry about him somewhat, but again are still too scared of him to do or say anything on the matter.
They're more likely to engage in adventures than Deck, but it's usually either an avoidance technique or a matter of being too nervous to say no. Admittedly, the gun adventure was almost too much for him, but he made a point of trying to engage more after seeing how upset Caine was.
