OzGlyn Week 2021 Day 2: First Meetings and/or Second Chances

I cry.

Made for Ozglyn week 2021. My part in the Wedding tag, and kind of the anniversery. (I’ll do the full version of this some day, but for now, deal with the scraps of a story I scrambled together.)

“You look... Like a baked potato.” Tai decided, currently trying to fix Ozpin’s tie. 

Qrow swatted him, currently running a comb threw Oz’ hair. “Oz, it’ll be okay. She loves you, you love her, she said yes. And Summer helped pick the tux. You have nothing to worry about.” 

Ozpin was hyperventilating. “Oh god. What if--”

Theodore grumbled a few foul words. “Oz! Your fine dude! 

“I hope your right...” 

“If this wasn’t your wedding I’d kick sense into you.” 

Meanwhile with Glynda:

“And... Done!” Summer exclaimed, putting the finishing touch on Glynda’s makeup.

“Thanks, Sum.” 

“You seem oddly calm for a woman about to get married.” Raven remarked, making sure everything was in order.

“Not all of us are as terrified as Raven.” Glynda chuckled, enjoying the scowl she got in return.

Ozpin was still practically about to implode while waiting. 

Leo put a reassuring hand on his shoulder with a nod, careful not to drop the book he was only carrying for style, because he’d memorized his words carefully after he screwed them up when Raven and Tai got married. 

Then his eyes widened and Oz looked to where his friends gaze was stuck.

His jaw hit the floor. 

He’d always known Glynda was drop dead beautiful, but by the Brothers above, he was stunned. 

The elegant dress that cascaded behind her was a snow white, with hints of green toward the bottom. 

His eyes trailed back up and James gave him a stern look before he could ever manage a glance at her chest. It did not matter to the Captain that they were about to be wed, in his presence, Oz better be the best gentlemen for miles. 

Especially if James was the one walking the bride down the isle.

So instead he just kept looking up, and to say the least: She Was Not Wearing Glasses. 

He was doomed. 

In a good way.

Glynda chuckled when she checked the mail. Multiple letters in the box were simply a congrats on 15 years. 

She was caught looking at one mysteriously with the hand writing of a dusty old female bird when arms circled her from behind. 

“She seems to be doing well. Anyway, put the letter down. It’s a Sunday. We are entirely off work and we have been married for 15 years. We can read are de-facto family letters later. For now, we go back to bed. It’s 5am. We’re sleeping in.” 

Glynda snickered, dropping the letter to look at her husband. 

“No hot chocolate?”
