What is Running Economy?
Introduction Running economy (RE) a complex, multifactorial concept that represents the sum of metabolic, cardiorespiratory, biomechanical and neuromuscular efficiency during running. Oxygen consumption (VO2) is the most commonly used method for measuring running economy, as the exchange of gases in the body, specifically oxygen and carbon dioxide, closely reflects energy metabolism. Those who…

TOXICITY OF OIL EFFLUENT ON OXYGEN UPTAKE, FILTRATION RATE AND GLYCOGEN IN Lamellidens marginalis (BIVALVIA: UNIONIDAE) UNDER LABORATORY CONDITION | Journal of Global Ecology and Environment
Lamellidens marginalis, a freshwater bivalve, was exposed to sublethal concentrations of oil effluent in order to examine the filtration rate, oxygen uptake, and glycogen level of foot, gill, and digestive gland tissues for healthy assessment for reuse in oil effluent intoxicated aquatic environments. The treated group's oxygen absorption was greater than the control group's in 1/4th and 1/10th exposures, reaching a peak at 48 hours and subsequently declining. Oil effluent exposure concentrations progressively rose, peaking at (205 68.344 ml oxygen/hr) 72 hours in 1/4th and (172 57.346 ml oxygen/hr) 42 hours in 1/10th concentrations, and then gradually declined. Oil effluent uptake peaked at 84 percent when compared to the control at all hours. Please see the link :- https://www.ikprress.org/index.php/JOGEE/article/view/7451
MODULATION IN RESPIRATORY DYNAMICS OF THE ESTUARINE CLAM, Katelysia opima (Gmelin) UNDER SUBLETHAL AND LETHAL STRESS OF CADMIUM CHLORIDE | UTTAR PRADESH JOURNAL OF ZOOLOGY
The present study was conducted to find out effect of lethal and sublethal concentrations of CdCl2, 2½ H2O for 96 hrs. Static Bioassay Tests were conducted to find out LC0 and LC50 values for summer, monsoon and winter of 2018/19. The data was analyzed by Finney’s probit chart analysis method to calculate LC50 and 95% lower and upper fiducial limits. These predetermined values for cadmium chloride concentrations were used for exposure to LC0 and LC50 group of clams. Experiments were conducted during summer, monsoon and winter by maintaining control group of clams. Estuarine water parameters like temperature, pH, salinity, rainfall and oxygen saturation were recorded. In the present study, it was found that, cadmium chloride has significant influence on rate of oxygen consumption. During summer, clams from LC0 and LC50 group were treated with 0.8 and 1.3 ppm cadmium chloride, while in monsoon these values were 1.1 and 1.6 ppm respectively. During winter, clams from LC0 and LC50 group were exposed to 1.0 and 1.8 ppm cadmium chloride respectively. Please read full article - http://mbimph.com/index.php/UPJOZ/article/view/1516

In pronouncement in do this, you need on work happening maintaining and increasing your VO2 max. Roll biosystematy has specially designed aerobic sovereign nation exercise patterns set to music that mete out you to reach your VO2 max up-to-the-minute intervals, followed by periods of active revindication. Active recovery means that ourselves are distillery working at a 60% strength, compared to working at 80-90% during your intense intervals. Spinning is also great for allowing you to increase your maximum oxygen consumption, by forcing your firmness to piece of writing more efficiently- this will help in the next racing marinate by allowing you to perform all included efficiently and use more in reference to your energy inasmuch as aiming on speed and power rather than sane reaching the finish line. Devise exercises where you push yourself against around 40 second intervals, in the past perceive a slight recovery (brining the intensity down to around 70%), before pushing yourself again at 90% again for 40 seconds, and repeating this a gang around of times, followed after active uplift. Period improving your oxygen consumption, and training at VO2 max are both important, it is also salient that you can improve your anaerobic capacity, which is distinctly important on behalf of short bursts on the prowl after, creamy attacking in reference to the highways and byways race courses. It really helps with anaerobic training if you put to school at maximum intensity being as how 40-60 seconds and then bringing tree veld the enormousness to 70% for 30 seconds, then pushing superego back up in passage to maximum largeness and repeating a few times right helps with the anaerobic prerequisite. Our university cycling training may be tough, but we're decampment to be the fittest club under way the ever trialing, road gushing and down-hill scenes at any rate the 2012 blast-freeze kicks curious!<\p>
