summary: you catch your boyfriend beat up another guy! but he's got a good reason for that, right?

“mondo–! what are you doing!?”

you knew your boyfriend could be hot-headed, but he was never violent! sure, he might threaten violence, but when you actually saw him beating up a guy, you couldn't help but jump in and protect a total stranger from your boyfriend.

“get out of the way.” mondo snarled, his glaring gaze still on the other guy. “i'm doing this for you, so don't stop me. he deserved what he's about to get–”

mondo raised his fist, ready to throw a punch, but when you jumped in front of him, putting yourself in harm's way, mondo froze immediately. and the other guy took that chance to run off as quick as he could…

“damn it, he's getting away–!” mondo yelled, balling both of his hands into fists and letting out a frustrated sigh.

“mondo, what is this all about? you're not usually like this–! tell me what happened, please…” you sighed softly, upset with how different your boyfriend seemed right now.

“that guy… that asshole badmouthed you! i‘m not gonna repeat the shit he said about you! but he deserved far worse than what i gave him, trust me–!”

mondo still glared towards the direction the guy was running off to. but as you gently placed a hand on his cheek, his eyes met yours and his expression softened immediately.

“sorry… i didn't mean to scare you…” mondo mumbled quietly, guilt finally setting in for him.

“don't be.” you whispered, pressing a gentle kiss onto his lips. “i'm glad you wanted to defend my name. but please, know that you don't have to. i don't want you to get into trouble for me…”
