im lowk just gonna call this the survivor troupe au for simplicity’s sake

uuuhhhh tw 4 implied hypersexuality, selfharm, n generally horrible coping mechanisms + trauma responses

aoi asahina : ohhhh this one. oooohhhhhh this one . she is NOT coping well in the slightest after sakura’s death. she’s never felt so loved by someone until she met sakura, so when she dies, aoi grows desperate to fill that void. she tries to cope by hanging around makoto and byakuya more often, but byakuya is uninterested in her and makoto is, put lightly, a horrible therapist.

byakuya togami : he just doesn’t care, really. he hates being around these ABSOLUTE LOSERS!!!!!! and with toko surviving as well he tends to isolate himself to keep away from her.

makoto naegi : also coping unhealthily. not as badly as aoi or toko, sure, but he doesn’t know how to handle witnessing his classmates die. he sort of slowly unravels throughout the au.

toko fukawa : oh you thought she was already coping badly? think again. she shuns syo from her mind, trying to keep her away, even despite the fact she can still front. she refuses to speak with syo, she is too scared. adding onto it is byakuya intentionally avoiding her, and aoi relying on him so much toko feels more ignored than before. she begins trying to hurt herself to catch attention.
