Lisa and Micah had been traveling through the labyrinth for three months now with no luck in escaping. They encounter Eros who, like Janus, is a minor god stuck within this underground's confines and bored enough to mess with whoever he comes across. Unfortunately, Lisa and her friend just so happen to stumble across him. They manage to escape, but not without first being subject to the love god's arrow-flung spells.

The spells wear off the further they run through the tunnels, until finally, they take a break to sit down and lean against the walls, catching their breath...

For starters, you’d never let me hear the end of it if I was.” “Well, yeah-” “And Iris is amazing and definitely not someone who’d get jealous.” Steph was frowning slightly. “In fact that’s not something I’ve been concerned about the last few relationships he’s had.” “I know, Steph, but...that doesn’t mean it’s not difficult for you sometimes. I just...I wanted to let you know that I’m here if you want to talk about it. You’re entitled to your feelings no matter how nice his partners are.” Steph’s face softened at that. “I know, Malcolm, and I really appreciate it and...it is a little hard. But it’s not world ending, and they’re honestly so perfect for each other. They both glow in each other’s presence and it’s...it’s nice to see. And I hope if I do find someone one day that I’ll have a relationship like that.”

Steph Taylor loved Eddie Thawne from the moment she met him, but it was only after she moved to Central a few years ago that this love became romantic - when she realised she was in love with him. She also knew he'd never see her that way, and she'd later tell herself that she accepted this very quickly and without trouble.

The truth is that it took her a while to deal with her heartbreak over knowing that Eddie would never look at her the way he'd look at his other partners, that she'd never have this sweet and wonderful man as a boyfriend. But she did eventually rally - Eddie was still her best friend, and she wouldn't trade that for anything in the world. They're platonic soulmates, and that means everything to her. She still gets the odd twinge every now and then, but it's getting better - and having confidants helps.

And who knows? Maybe she'll find someone just as kind and decent one day.
