Oh fuck I think I've outed myself as a theatre kid.

over the last 6 months i’ve organized several regular Fibre-related Zoom meet-ups with folx from various groups in my life.. and.. the spinners and weavers get invited to my Official Guild Drop-in

And at the monthly drop-in last night, someone that i met in an exclusively Queer FB group... dropped a Queer Joke into the ‘Mixed-company’. and I.. missed the beat, but gave her the punch line.. and now I know that there were at least 3 other queer folx in a Guild meeting with 12 people.

This is the card my dad sent me for Christmas, with a $50 gift card I can use anywhere.

I am SOBBING. I wasn't expecting him to react this way at ALL. And I'm so happy, obviously, but it's really, really emotional. I have been in the Technical Closet for Y E A R S, and when I was outed in front of him I was SO AFRAID. And everything is fine. And I am so, so fucking happy. It's a lot.

My dad didn't have any reaction to my outing, and he acted fairly normal on the drive back. I didn't bring up the car conversation at all except to text him back "thank you" for not telling anyone.

"I didn't tell anyone

And I won't"

So. Hopefully we're good. 🤞
