Bourbon...what a wonderful thing. This bottle of Blanton's has become somewhat rare even though it isn't one of those crazy expensive bourbons that people will kill for. A guy in one of the local liquor stores I frequent was inquiring about a bottle and the staff membered answered, "we don't have it. We can't keep it on the shelf." Disappointed, the fella started looking elsewhere in the store. I went up to him and told him where I knew he could find a bottle. His smile made my day. I hope he went and bought the bottle. This stuff is good. $60 or $70 bucks. The smell is out of this world. Blanton's gets created in Kentucky, where my favorite author is from...Wendell Berry. This Polaroid made me think of Kentucky, hay all wrapped up for the cows. Farm country. Grain country. Corn mash at 51% at least is what makes a whiskey a bourbon. Whiskey is what makes my wife and I smile....but nothing like this little photo bomber.
