Seeing this talk of Orko on my dash again just reminds me why I don't like the whole "He's actually a Trollan super secret agent and the best wizard ever and his powers not working outside of Trolla is just an act he puts on while he watches over Adam" thing. That basically means every time his magic "messes up" is him actually intentionally putting his friends in danger. Also from this angle are they actually his friends or does he just see them as the job the Elders of Trolla gave him? That said him being "Orko the Great" back on Trolla but his powers just don't work on Eterina as he claims is actually fine with me, just leave it at that, it's just the rest of it that irks the Subternia outta me.
I had a whole long reply typed up before I re-read this Ask and realized I was the one who misunderstood.
Now that I do understand what you're saying, my only response is:

But, since I already had this long-ass reply already typed up, I'm gonna post it anyway. If you are interested to read it, its under the cut. If you're uninterested in seeing me embarrass myself, stop reading now.
Gonna sound weird to say but, I feel Duncan and Ork-O should've been the same character in CGI He man.
For one, despite appearing in less episodes,Ork-O has a VASTLY more interesting and full-bodied arc, where Duncan's arc about wanting a family and being a builder felt both underwhelming and understated.
You could easily keep him the same as a robot to, have him be Cronus's assistant at first, becomes sentient, becomes the comic relief until digivolving into a real wizard.
AND have Duncan be introduced in season 2 as his regular bad ass normal self, WITH his origin as Teela's step dad intact, because making Man-E-Faces take the role was unnecessary.
Sorry if I sound too critical, but the changes to Duncan's character were utterly pointless.
may I suggest the two orkos from the Netflix He-Man show? the CGI one lmao.

So. I was going to. Draw both of them but I was struggling. Ended up drawing just Ork-O because 1) i am getting a figure of him and 2) i like silly robots.

Same anon here, what if when Ork-0 called won the power he became Roboto?
That's wild!
There are some wild implications here that I think I might be too tired to completely unpack right now. But I feel like this idea could turn into a very interesting examination of how we interpret "power" and "heroism".
In previous iterations of the franchise, Orko and Roboto are two very distinct and separate character that have very little association. Orko is a displaced wizard from another dimension that appears to be under the mentorship of Man-at-Arms, while Roboto is an android and a heroic warrior/Master of the Universe who was built by Man-at-Arms. Orko's and Roboto's only connection is through Man-at-Arms.
Which I get it probably the basis for why you want Orko to turn into Roboto as his "henshin".
Like I said, I'm tired and my thoughts are a little messy and disjointed, so I apologize if this doesn't make sense.
But, Roboto has the same general body-type as He-Man. A tall humanoid with wide torso shaped like human body-builder muscles. While Orko (and by extension Ork-0) is small. With a short body and thin limbs. He does not fit the traditional image of a "powerful hero".
Some time when I'm not so tired, I'd like to examine why Ork-0's Master transformation would change him into what humans would consider "heroic" and not what Trollans or other robots might consider "heroic".

I'm also wondering, would any other rk units have a crisis of not wanting to be a part of the ork0 Hive Mind.
That sounds like its be an amazing plot point. They don't touch on that in the show. But I imagine it as something similar to Hordak not wanting to be part of Horde Prime's hive mind in SPOP.
I hope someone writes a fic about one of the RK units asserting their independence from the hive mind.
Imagine Horde Clones meeting the RK units (Orkos). That would be interesting. Also I like how each Orko give themselves a title/occupation to identify eachother. Orko the Accountant, Baker, Builder. And different colored outfits.
RK-Ork-0s and Liberated Clones would be best friends and I WISH more people from the SPOP fandom were also in the MotU fandom so I could have some amazing crossover art of them. Imagine Hordak and Ork-0 trying to wrangle Kadroh and Orko the Enthusiastic Helper.
