May we all know decadence such as this
"godless beast" and it's literally Dionysus in animal form.

Beep boop! I look for accidental haiku posts. Sometimes I mess up.
The revival series “The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder” has just come to an end. And I’d add, thankfully, because this series was a truly disappointing disaster—the most ethically and morally flawed thing I’ve ever seen from Disney in recent years.
Over the course of four seasons, I’ve watched the characters on this show promote child abuse and exploitation while tackling these important issues in a cringeworthy and stupid way.
And what’s worse, they’ve become even more cruel and gratuitously violent than they were in the original series.
Especially the characters Oscar and Trudy, who in these episodes treated Penny Proud’s desire for independence and her taking a stand as an adolescent whim to be stifled as soon as possible—even through extreme and inhumane means.
A particularly infamous example is the episode where Trudy locks Penny out of the house for a slight curfew violation and because she was becoming a bit sullen, just like all kids her age.
Not to mention the storyline involving Penny and her romantic relationship with Kareem, which was also handled extremely poorly by both the parents and the teenagers themselves.
And those few episodes that were truly great—like the one with Dijonae and the brown paper bag test—go completely unnoticed. When I watched them, I couldn’t help but think of that old video by @filodoro where he talked about *Gravity Falls* and *The Owl House*—two little animated gems from Disney with powerful themes and innovative ideas that were boycotted in every possible way for reasons that aren’t entirely clear.
Some say these shows “didn’t reflect the company’s image,” while others say the creators were forced to cut episodes and side projects in a rather acrimonious manner, which ultimately led them to leave Disney to work independently (it’s no coincidence that Dana Terrace, the creator of *The Owl House*, is now working with Glitch on *Knights of Guenevere*).
The point is that this revival of the Proud family is the perfect example of what Disney has become today—and not in a good way. @151eg was right: the House of Mouse is failing, and it’s partly brought it on itself.
I hope this phase of nostalgic flashbacks comes to an end. Because, honestly, I can't take it anymore.
So I pirated the final season of proud family louder and prouder and that was the worst series finale ever like penny can’t have anything good she is still stuck with her shitty friend group and the final send off for the season ending with Oscar getting turned into a basketball for laughs because the writers wanted to remind the audience that they hate him for the millionth 😕

Worst fandom-netizen you know just made a good point.
But seriously, it's kinda depressing how there was no big send off for the show, especially since (outside of specials) this is probably the last time we're going to see these characters. And you just ended it with a milquetoast murder mystery plot and some cameo nobody gaf about. Like i get that this is an episodic show, but cmonnnn give us a proper send off
If you don't know: the Gross Sisters being blue is based on a colorist stereotype where if a darkskinned Black person didn't have lotion on(so ashy) they become blue
Proud Family, as much as we love the show, had a lot of racist and colorist jokes thrown in. And while Louder and Prouder has made strides to do better(not w/o hiccups) it still doesn't know what to do with the Gross Sisters
They had 2 episodes about colorism(one was really bad, but the latest one was decent)
So they probably felt it negated the message to have the Gross Sisters be darkskinned. So in this episode, Nubia, who is Gabrielle when she has lotion on, is presented as a brown but lightskinned girl
While I get they were attempting to subvert the stereotype to show she was actually lightskinned this whole time, everyone knows this stereotype is specifically geared against darkskinned Black people. My mom literally saw one clip of Proud Family years ago, saw the blue girls, and voiced how messed up that was to show in a kids cartoon
There's also the texturism and xenophobia(Nubia's family are Jamaican) of it all too
