I've just realized a big reason why season one of CGI He-man felt so off, because episodes 1-4 should've been a movie pilot or hour long special, and season 1 should've been eight full episodes!
Seriously, the pacing problems in season 1 disappear in seasons 2 and 3(for the most part) because they had eight full episodes each.
Season 1 however had a 4 episode set up, and only six main episodes that barely explored the characters.
Basically, CGI He-man needed JUST a fewmore episodes, better pacing, and a little more character exploration.
