Notes: I posted another Queen's Thief fic! I didn't link it here when it went up because it was for an event, so it was anonymous for a while, and then I kept forgetting to mention it here.
This one is different from my other stories for this fandom (it's set during book 4 and doesn't feature any characers from the Mede Empire), but it's also pretty similar to my other stories (it mostly features minor characters who are slaves, including an OFC i created out of an unnamed character who exists but doesn't actually appear in the book).
The first chapter is very short and dialogue-only, with none of the speakers actually identified by name; I wrote it as kind of a format experiment, in the spirit of the Weird the Tag event. The second chapter is from Sophos' POV and is a more traditional "missing scene," basically my version of something that must have happened but isn't covered in detail in the book. I have one more chapter partially written, but it's just another scene with some of the same characters - the two I've already posted stand on their own as individual stories, I think.

In Greek mythology, Oreus was a mountain-god of central Greece - probably Mount Othrys or Oita in Malis or else the Pindus mountain range. He was the father of Oxylos "Mountain-Forests" and Hamadryas "Joined-with-Tree" who, in turn, were the parents of a group of tree-specific Hamadryad Nymphs.
