Join 516 ARTS and Kolaj Institute for a Women in Collage Round Table. Dafna Steinberg will lead a discussion about the role of women in collage as artists and subjects. The panel will discuss collage and individual practices as they relate to the artists’ femininity with Lory Ivey Alexander (Washington, DC), Ainize Txopitea (Guipuzcoa, Spain), Lisa Wicka (Green Bay, Wisconsin), and Marie-Pier Lopes (aka ZEPOL, Montreal, Quebec). The formal conversations will be followed by a free-form hangout where women, femme and non-binary artists working in collage are invited to share their experiences and discuss the themes raised by the speakers.
