Reminded by someone else's post so here are some pictures from Glastonbury Tor in 2015. The Tor is often associated with summer solstice and the 3rd photo is from the midsummer gathering of a druid organization called OBOD. The horn player turned and played in the 4 directions calling the opening of the ceremony.
Happy solstice, everyone!

Low energy ways to reconnect with druidry and magic
I've been strayed from my path for a little while, and while I'd love to jump back in with full scope I know that my body and mind aren't prepared for that. so I thought I'd make an easy list of ways to reconnect that dont take up so much of your energy. this is for everyone who can utilize it.
note: these are meant to be done with a modicum of intention. If you don't have the energy for that though, even just doing the motions of the activity is a step in the right direction
Lowest energy
Sit outside
Blow a dandelion wish (if they're in season)
Watch a bug/bird/animal
Take a nap outdoors (somewhere safe please!)
Hum or Sing a song
Medium Energy
Flip to a random page in a field guide and read it
Identify a bug/bird/animal
Feel the energy of the Sun/Earth/Wind flow through you
Meditate for a small increment of time
Leave a small offering to a deity or energy
Highest Energy
Do a nature craft (you can find ideas through pinterest)
Okay so the more I get into Christopaganism, the more I am getting interested in Celtic Christianity and Druidry. Reblog this post if you are Christopagan, Druid, Celtic pagan/polytheist, Celtic Wiccan, or something along those lines and post frequently about your religion/spirituality so I can follow you! :D

The mad, the strangers, the wanderers without harbor.
Saints of loneliness and patrons of struggle,
Those devoured by guilt and those ravaged by longing;
All hail the tired, the lost, the forgotten.
Blessed are we who seek the light, even the smallest spark;
Blessed are we though despised, shunned and ripped apart;
Blessed are we who know, The great secrets of heart;
Who must remain quiet while we prepare to save the world
—or maybe just enough to start it all over again.
Loki Loftur, god of lightning [ᛃ]
It seams to me Loki receives undue malice in modern society. Is this because of his children? Even Sleipner, as icon of death, can be called a monster. Is this reception appropriate?
The focus of the left-hand path is individual growth and actions. Loki seems, to me, an appropriate hero—one who masters their fates to a degree they inspire the same in the rest of us—to such efforts.
He is a god of lightning. Gives Gungnir, spear of lightning, to Oðinn, births Sleipnir, the electric horse and poetic kin to Pegasus.
Let me tell you a tale of the swan prince and princess
Two young lovers by the name of Caer Ibormeith and Aengus
He searched the globe to find her and she sent him dreams
Yet when he laid eyes upon her he found she is not all she seems
She turned into a bird and looked up at him with deep black eyes
And so he made himself a swan as well, and swam off with her into the sunrise
This celtic tale I have here rewritten is thought to be a basis for many swan tales including Swan Lake and The Swan Princess, but finding hard evidence for this is difficult as many swan tales exist. as always I encourage you to do your own research.
Caer Ibormeith is a goddess of dreams and prophecy, and she marries the god of beauty and youth Aengus Og after they "fly off together in the form of a pair of swans." Source: The Dictionary of Celtic Mythology by James MacKillop.
