Shit Robot - OB-8

This was broadcasted on April 14 of last year, and eventually I followed Beats in Space on Soundcloud and downloaded the set, out of loyalty to our green robot friend here. The tracklist showed that there were some unreleased tracks of his own in the set and at the end he explained that he couldn’t say much about them. Fast forward to a few days before Jan 15, and “OB-8″ goes up for pre-order. I debate for a day, buy the thing and listen to the new A-side, which is phenomenal and full of what makes me want to own more keyboards. On release day though, both mp3′s came through, and upon listening to side B, which is called “Torpedo” (which is a sweet name for a song), something happened I didn’t think would happen: I recognized it. On facebook I commented on an OB-8 related @dfa-records post and they confirmed my over-excited nerd hunch. I like Shit Robot a lot, and this set is full of deep immersive tracks I wish I’d made, so I wanted to share.
