Posted @withregram • @losangelesfiredepartment RTF-9 has now searched over 12,000 acres at the North Complex, with first responders and K9s working together. Electronic data is the key to the mission. Every inhabitable structure in each zone is being recorded into a mapping platform, which is then given to the Geographic Information System lead of the Incident Management Team and they create the overall incident map showing all of the structures. This process ensures that no rural homes are missed (these are not neighborhoods in this area and are often accessed by remote dirt roads).
