Meet: @sagapolutele_al , Heaviest - 485lbs, Total: 240lbs lost. I was in a terrible place physically & mentally, drinking tons & eating horribly. Even after a heart attack in 2013, left me with 3 stents, I lost some weight but eventually fell back to old my ways. Ailments included knee/ankle pain, spinal stenosis, sleep apnea, & more – I didn’t get to 485lbs cause life was awesome - I was depressed & desperate for change. . July 2016, I was in the process of getting gastric bypass. I decided to try losing it naturally. CrossFit – it changed/saved my life. The CF community has been an excellent support system. Life has improved tremendously & I feel fantastic! Workouts are hard but what is HARDER is living as a 500lbs man. Life is too precious. Surround yourself with people who want to see you succeed. CrossFit works for me, find what works for you! Starting Tip: Set realistic goals - Start slow, be patient, & remain focused. Practice Good Nutrition & sleep well for recovery. I'm glad to have found a support group which celebrates the ability to be a positive impact on others and myself, to keep pushing.
