One thing in movies/shows/books that always upsets me is when they use the wrong names when in reference to Primordials/Giants/Titans/Gods/Demigods/Legacies.
It's such a specific thing to get upset about, but it upsets me nonetheless.
Like, when they focus on Greek myths and use 'Hercules' instead of 'Heracles' or 'Cupid' instead of 'Eros' or referring to Hades as the God of the Dead. He's the God of the Underworld. Thanatos is the personification/God of Death.
Or when the focus is Roman and people forget that Pluto is not only the God of the Dead, but also the God of Wealth and Agriculture.
Another is when the focus is Norse and suddenly, Loki isn't messing with people. Or Hella is Loki and Thor's sister instead of Loki's daughter. Also, Norse Gods *can* be killed in combat. Other Pantheons cannot.
Lets not forget that all of the Creation Myths are botched in some way or another. Same with Destruction Myths.
Anyway, I do love a lot of media pertaining to the different Pantheons (like Rick Riordan's stuff and Disney's Hercules) but that doesn't mean that the tiny little nitpicks don't get me riled up.
(Another thing that upsets me is when everyone conveniently forgets that pretty much every deity in every Pantheon holds more than one position)
I think it's a bit frustrating that velociraptors most commonly get compared in size to turkeys, because I think this is misleading in a lot of ways, and it's far more sensible to compare them to a large coyote (around the same weight range) or a mid sized wolf (comparable in volume, dinosaurs are generally less dense than mammals). The comparison being done to turkeys is usually to domesticated turkeys, not wild ones , and while wild turkeys are already heavy set herbivores , domestic turkeys are specifically bred to be unnaturally heavy.
Even if we must compare them to an extant dinosaur, turkeys make a pretty poor analogue. Something like a male Kori bustard is more similar overall in mass and has a more similar shape, although a swan might be a more familiar comparison. None of these birds are perfect analogues though, because they aren't carnivores, and have a fundamentally very different lifestyle from velociraptors (the Kori bustard is the closest though). The best extent comparison among the birds would be the secretary bird or the seriemas , although velociraptor would've appeared about twice the size of a secretary bird (and 4x the mass) or about three times the size of a seriema (and 10x the mass)

Well I mean, the first criteria is that you have to be a Voltron blog (I prefer Voltron only, but having mostly Voltron and then some other appropriately tagged stuff is fine). I am a Voltron blog. I’m only going to follow blogs that will give me the content I need for my own blog. There are some exceptions to this rule; some of my mutuals are just my friends, or people I met in servers. I’d feel bad if I weren’t following my friends, even if they’re in different fandoms.
I also prefer people who tend to make original content!! Mainly because i don’t like seeing the same posts circulate on my dash. Especially if you’re just reblogging things from me, I don’t need to constantly see posts I just reblogged on my dash again two minutes later.
This is a kind of shallow thing, but I also follow blogs based on urls! Especially urls that are Clearly Voltron Related, so I know what I’m getting from the get go.
Finally, a lot of things just depend on what your blog is like. I’m not constantly looking at new blogs, but I do occasionally look at mutuals of my mutuals. I guess some things I judge for is… theme color, kinds of posts, your attitude (I like funny blogs lmao), your tagging system, and your icon. Little things like that.
Also, I totally admit that sometimes I search for my URL on people’s blogs, because 1. I like to see what they tag my stuff as, and 2. I’m nosy like that.
Has anyone else noticed that a lot of fanfictions automatically describe any green eyed character as 'emerald eyed?' I understand the appeal of liking an eye colour to a gem, but guess what; there is more than one green gemstone. For example: Adrien's eyes are closest in colour to peridot and Gladion's are nearer to jadeite.

If that gem anatomy thing Peridot said didn’t get dropped and didn’t contradict itself.
Peridot said feet = gravity connectors, even though earlier, pre-catch and release, she said “I’VE GOT NO FOOT!” And in “The New Crystal Gems”, she somehow knew what glasses were. Sorry for nitpicking, but I miss smart Peridot.
