Woo! Here we go!In developing their backstory, what elements of the world they live in played the most influential parts? He’s the Avatar. Which makes him the The Chosen One by default. We’ve already seen an Avatar who never wanted the position and one who has only ever wanted it, so for awhile I was stuck wondering how to make Niiko his own character rather than just another Aang or another Korra; which is a pretty easy trap to fall in.In finding the perfect niche for Niiko I had to look back on the very basic backstory I had (Father lost his job, divorce, put into the custody of the White Lotus and was forced to learn firebending which he found difficult...all in such a short time) and how a nine year old child would have felt in that situation.From there I was able to develop Niiko’s anxiety and finally give him his own personality. He wants to try his hardest at being the Avatar, but he finds that hard because he’s terrified of every aspect about it.If you had to narrow it down to 2 things that you MUST keep in mind while working with your OC, what would those things be? . As stated above. Niiko has anxiety and tends to act on that rather than his better judgement.. While he probably has had feelings for people in the past. He has never acted on them and has no interest in pursuing a relationship with anyone at the current time.What is the most recent thing you’ve discovered about your OC? Dude styles his hair the same way David Lynch does.
