hey so sorry I haven't posted this. its been in my drafts languishing. I've been a mess since february.

I love this show its adorable the one I linked is really cute because its perfect for pumpkin spice season.

will definitely be checking more of Lyla in the loop because I need to keep supporting PBS kids and honestly I'm hoping I can find some Lyla merch.

So, let me offer my one fragment of advice, that I, too, shall be taking: You don't have to have no discussions with no Homelander fan, Beloved. You don't have to explain or anything. You can enjoy what's going on without ever knowing they're out there being. I didn't know before seeing complaints related specifically to Marie.

I enjoy plenty of shows for plenty of reasons. I enjoy very few fandoms for very few and predictable reasons. And I don't fw them like that. The only reason I have engaged with Gen V is because there is finally a Black woman to discuss.

The last person I will be discussing a Black female character with is somebody such as a Homelander fan. I promise, y'all do not have to do it, unless it amuses you, then go wild. But the consensus seems to be that it doesn't amuse you. So. Let them enjoy their rancid slim milk away from you. What if they ask you a question? You don't have to talk to them. What if they reblogging your post with comments. You don't have to talk to them. You don't have to talk to nobody in any fandom, and since it's this particular fandom's first Black woman, I see a lot more fans than I used to, so I'm just clarifying: You ain't gotta say shit to them people if you don't want to.

Hi Nesha!!!!! It's so good to hear from you! And haha, yeah, with school on break now I've been a bit more active.

I did, and I watched the episodes! (Although to my disappointment it meant the return of a certain superhero sidekick but for some reason no mention of his friends, one friend in particular).

It's been a while and I don't remember much of it, so forgive me if I mess up details. But yeah, I was so excited, like that's my husband! Not quite a fan of how they went and made him like...a cyborg, but I love that they acknowledged his genius and how he definitely had backup plans. Personally, though, my favorite fate for him will always be somewhat reformed evil doer living in Florida after his initial plan failed, and he comes a-calling now and then to help the danger team like some sort of evil uncle like Douglas in Lab Rats, but we're never getting that because the Danger writers suck at writing characters that are more than caricatures. 🙃

I gotta say though, it was interesting seeing him try to recruit Mika and Chapa. Like I loved it, but not gonna lie, it made me feel some sort of way since it was kind of what I was building up to in The Long Game? But at least I got to see something I write sort of happen, and I guess I can't blame the writers since they technically didn't steal anything. But it's still weird to see some of what I plotted for Charlotte coming true, even though it was pretty different. All sorts of feelings there that I honestly don't feel like unpacking, but at least I always knew he is a king out here for (evil) women's empowerment.
