Being norse leaning while working with certain entities - in this case meaning Loki's children - while wanting community is honestly nerve racking.

One time when I was a teenager - like, fourteen- an adult I was with saw a guy with rune tattoos and loudly exclaimed that hey, someone had my religious symbols on them, trying to be supportive and like. This big white dude with several definitely fucking iffy (translation:racist) patches on his jacket turned and looked my tiny visibly queer purple haired child self up and down and gave me the filthiest glare and since then the thought of speaking to another norse pagan in public has given me such massive Fear. As much as it upsets me seeing norse symbols in public is the absolute opposite of comforting, hence why even if I want to I don't wear them because I don't want to set off those alarm bells for someone else.
Even if they aren't that specific kind of awful I've also had someone in a witchcraft shop hear me mention Fenrir and immediately try to start an actual fight with me and like. Bro I was just trying to get some cedarwood chips and maybe some incense, I am not trying to pick a fight by worshipping a different deity to you.
I've tried venturing into larger online norse pagan spaces just to see people claim that "Those who call themselves Rokkatru or work with Loki or his children are worse than the Nazis." ACTUAL QUOTE. And its genuinely baffling like. How??? How does people choosing different gods make them worse than actual bigots?? I really don't get it at all, like, some people really need to get their priorities sorted out.
