I donât know if you still use this tumblr, but your on is amazing, probably the best one iâve met (though Kisara is one of my favorite characters, it makes me sad how Nettie got to life a good, happy life while Kisara was..*sniff* stoned ;-;) *wipes tears* but itâs ok now! I love Kisara too and yeah, though she does live a pretty harsh life compared to Nef, they at least meet again (and I expand her story with young Seto a bit more so their romance has more basis xD).
One thing I am doing though is that in the Memory World arc, one of Neftisâ missions in the Shadow RPG is saving Kisara from dying :3 and she will succeed. (the Shadow RPG is just a game recreating the past, itâs not the past itself, so Kisara living wonât change history at all).

This is Amaya and Nefits, two newer redesigns of very old fan ocs I made for a Yugioh AU that will not leave my brain even after all these years lol
Neftis here is the younger sister of Yami while Amaya is Yugi's slightly older and slightly taller cousin. (A fact she quite literally likes to hold over him)
Random Notes -
Both girls are Mediums but Neftis once was an Oracle and see into the future, abilities that have been lost to her right now.
Amaya ace and is precious cinnamon roll that will kick your arse
Neftis is a hopeless romantic. Looks scary but gives best hugs
Neftis is banned from markers, pens, basically all inks, oil paint, mallows when she's alone, and pomegranates.
While Amaya is more Neutral Good Neftis is absolutely Chaotic Neutral. Do not leave Neftis alone to her own devices unless she has things to keep her occupied lol
Many harmless details have been left out from her Sight just to have a good laugh later. Mostly at her brother's expense xD
Does not have a Millenium Item anymore. Once was the keeper of the Necklace.
Their amulet is gold with lapis lazuli and an ankh.
Neftis' hair originally was similar to Yami's but after being deathly ill as a toddler, her hair turned the bluish-white it is now. Amaya was born with the bluish-white hair color.
Her green ribbon is a reference to rebirth, a new chance, etc as the color green will hold that meaning.
Amaya's birthday is the Tanabata!
The project their in is called Second Chance. An AU I've been sitting on for a looooong time but never fully worked on for reasons back then. Long story short the AU is an elaborate "what if" tale of what if the Pharaoh got a proper chance to live a life of his choosing? And the misadventures that would ensue with his sister and their friends.
Will I share it online? Maybe. We'll see. The AU is more of a means to keep my anxiety and stress down but as I work on it, I'll consider sharing more. Art will absolutely be shared so keep an eye out for more of these two and their friends!

Character sheet for Sam, Iris and Neftis in the Memory World Arc.
My ocs are super old, and I think I've finally reached a final form for them, hence the details explained in these :3.
Got inspired by some ygoâŚarc V? Magazine pages for this, Iâve always wanted to make character profiles for these 2! Sam and Iris now have a bit more visual difference, Irisâ bangs are straight like Neftisâ.
Some fun trivia about Neftis. When Pegasus found a tablet with what looked like a dragon (the same one from the Tablet of Lost Memories) and a phoenix linked to the Millenium Pendant and Rod, the Egyptian inscriptions described a âphoenix of Neftisâ (referring to the phoenix that way bc it was Neftisâ ka). So Pegasus named the monster as such, thinking that was the monsterâs name, linked to the Egyptian goddess Nephthys and not an individual. So Sam and all the Yugioh gang have always known Neftisâ name, they just had no idea xP. (Imagine Samâs annoyance when she learned THAT was Irisâ real name in the memory world arc haha).
(btw I write Neftis to refer to my Oc and Nephthys for the phoenix or the Egyptian goddess so itâs easier to differenciate, but both are pronounced the same way xD)
Q: âhow did you come up with the nickname Iris for Neftis? And did Sam always know Neftisâ true name?â
Iris is the name Sam gave the spirit in her millennium pendant after learning she had no memories nor name. Itâs a name Iris treasured with all her being.
Sam: Thanks to my dad, since he loves mythology (he's an archaeologist in his spare time after all) I've always been in touch with ancient Gods stories. After I met the spirit of the Millennium Pendant I felt like she was some kind of messenger like the Greek Goddess Iris c: that's why I chose that name. And no, I didn't know her name was Neftis, that's why I gave her a name!
As for the name Neftis⌠Pegasus created the Phoenix card based on one of Sam's drawings that resembled a tablet that depicted both the phoenix and the blue eyes white dragon surrounding the Millennium rod and Millenium pendant. That tablet was made in honor to the two monsters that helped the nameless pharaoh, and as history was ârecordedâ, the phoenix was referenced as a âphoenix of Neftisâ, meaning it belonged to Neftis. But Pegasus had no idea that was the name of a person so he attributed it to the goddess Nephthys when the hieroglyphics were translated and named the phoenix âSacred phoenix of Nephthysâ.
So⌠you can imagine Samâs total annoyance in the memory world arc when she learns it WAS Neftisâ name lol.
I tried my best inventing that tablet with the phoenix and blue eyes lmao sorry if itâs messy, also of course Iâm bullshitting the inscriptions so donât be harsh on me. đ I had very little time to finish this.
And oh well, also she resembles the card Iris, the Earthmother -u-
