Jason Todd x Narcoleptic Reader
Jason had a pretty good informant. Only issue was you couldn't really leave your apartment much on the account you had narcolepsy. You could get information better than anyone, thankfully just by hacking from your apartment from your various technical set ups. He entered your apartment to see you passed out on the couch with your laptop on top of you. He chuckled and shook his head as your service dog ran towards him excitedly. 'It's okay, girl. I'll get her some water,' he said as he patted her head. He headed to the kitchen and grabbed a glass of water. He returned to see you waking up. Your dog leapt up and laid on you as you chuckled. You smiled at Jason when he placed a glass of water in front of you.
'Thanks, Jay... How long have you been here?'
'Only like a minute, Aya practically ordered me around like an angry mother,' he said. You chuckled softly as he ruffled Aya's ears. You slowly sat up and drank some water before going back to your laptop. Jason sighed and sat beside you.
'Got some Intel for me, angel?' he said. You blushed a little at his pet name and handed him your laptop.
'New criminal gang in town, they're shipping in new weapons,' you said. He nodded and scrolled through the information. You yawned and leaned your head onto his shoulder. He continued looking through the information and then looked down to see you asleep again. He chuckled and shook his head. You woke up again when he closed your laptop. 'Sorry about that,' you muttered. He smiled and looked down at you.
'You don't need to apoligse to me, remember?'
'I know, I know. I just feel bad always falling asleep on you,' you said.
'I don't mind, you know that. Have you had dinner yet?'
'No, I was gonna order in pizza. Wanna join?' you asked.
'Obviously, how can I say no to that?'

Jason had ended up staying over the night. You expected to wake up in your bed like usual, but you felt yourself somewhere else. You whined and reached out to try and get Aya's attention but she didn't nuzzle against your hand like usual. 'Easy, you're not in danger,' a voice said. You groaned and opened your eyes to see Batman. You groaned and rolled your eyes.
'Seriously?'
'We know you're in contact with Red Hood, you need to know how dangerous he is,' he said. You slowly sat up, at least he hadn't tied you up and you were just on a mattress in the batcave.
'Yeah, I'm well aware how dangerous he is. Thanks,' you grumbled. You glanced over to see Nightwing staring at you and then you looked next to him to see Robin, aka Damien fucking Wayne. You'd heard how annoying he was from Jason. 'Is this an intervention or something? Did you really have to drug me? Also where the hell is my dog?'
'Your dog is safe. We needed to speak with you where we knew Red Hood wouldn't listen,' Batman said.
'I know his real identity, you don't have to keep calling him Red Hood,' you said. Nightwing stepped forward and looked at you in shock.
'He told you?'
'Yes, he also told me all your secret identities. You're welcome for keeping that secret by the way.'
'Why the hell would he tell you? You're just some useless disabled chick,' Damien said before Dick nudged him.
'Take it easy, asshole,' he said. You rolled your eyes and slowly stood up. You felt dizzy and quickly braced yourself on one of the desks. Batman came to your side and gently placed his hand on your shoulder.
'Are you okay?' he asked. You nodded a little and took a moment to get your bearings.
'I'm guessing you know about my condition.'
'We did some digging, yes. What we can't work out is why Jason is so interested in a civilian,' he said.
'Why would I tell you?'
'If you don't I'll kill that dumb dog of yours,' Damien said as you glared at him. Dick groaned and face palmed.
'Just ignore him. Look, we aren't trying to get your in trouble or anything we just need to know what he's up to,' Dick said. You glanced at him before standing up straight.
'If he knows I spoke he'll...he would probably never speak to me again,' you muttered. Batman looked at you.
'You care about him,' he said. You sighed and nodded.
'Yeah... I like to think he cares about me too,' you said. Damien scoffed and rolled his eyes but kept quiet. Dick stepped forward and looked at you.
'Y/N, Jason isn't who you think he is or who he tells you he is. There's something dark inside of him. He's done terrible things in this city and I don't think he'll stop until that darkness consumes him. So, we need to know what you do for him,' he said. You sighed and looked away.
'I'm an informant... I have been for a while due to my hacking skills. I get information for Jason,' you said.
'What kind of information?' Bruce asked.
'Shipments, new criminals in town, weapons deals, all those kinds of things. Jason stops a lot of it, makes sure those operations are shut down before they can even begin.'
'He's actually doing...good?' Dick asked in shock.
'Yes, I mean maybe he doesn't do it in the way you guys agree on, but he wants the same outcome... Hopefully,' you said. Bruce was about to speak before he saw you passing out. He rushed forward and caught you in his arms.
'Oh, how convenient. She's probably faking,' Damien grumbled.
'Shut it, Damien.'
--
When you woke up again you were back in your bed with your dog. You groaned and looked around. You couldn't help but wonder if it was a dream. You looked at your bedside table to see a note and a business card. It was Bruce's. The note read; "I can't tell you what to do, but you need to be careful around Jason. If you ever need help give me a call."
You sighed and put the business card in your bedside table. You gently patted Aya while you thought about how Jason would react. You texted him to come over.
'May as well get it over with,' you whispered as your dog nuzzled into your hand.
Jason arrived and saw you sitting on the couch. 'Hey, what's up?' he asked.
'Hey, I just needed to tell you something,' you said. He sat on the coffee table in front of you so he could face you. 'I met Bruce and Dick... And Damien.'
'What, how the hell did you meet them?' he asked.
'Well, they kind of kidnapped me.'
'They did what!?' he shouted as he stood up.
'Jay, it's okay. They would never hurt me,' you said as you coaxed him to sit back down again. 'They were warning me about you, which is stupid. They were asking me what I do for you and what you've been up to,' you said. He looked at you and his jaw clenched.
'And you told them to fuck off, right?'
'Not exactly... I just said that I get information from you and that you're working towards the same goal as them,' you said as Jason groaned and stood up. He began to pace.
'Jesus, Y/N. You just crack like that? I thought you were meant to be a damn good informant,' he said.
'I am a good informant. They aren't bad guys, Jason. They want the same things that we do, they just do it differently. Like it or not they're going to know one way or another what you're up to,' you said. He groaned and rubbed his face. 'They were your family once, Jay.'
'Don't start with that bullshit with me,' he growled as he turned to you.
'I know it's complicated, but...'
'No, you don't know, Y/N! You don't know shit about it. You think because we're close and slept together a few times that you fucking know me or what I went through?' he shouted. You stared at him in shock, you'd never seem him this angry at you before.
'Jay, I didn't say that. I care about you, I would hope you care about me as well,' you said. He looked down at you.
'Yeah, well... Maybe that was just wishful thinking, Y/N,' he said before grabbing his coat.
'Jay, wait!' you shouted. You got up and went to run for him before you collapsed. He rushed forward and grabbed you before you hit the floor.
'Goddammit, Y/N!' he shouted.
You woke up a few minutes later on the couch with a glass of water in front of you. You noticed Jason's coat over you as you looked up to see him leaning against the wall.
'You make it hard to storm out or fight when you pass out all the time,' he said. There was no real bite to his words like before. You smiled a little and chuckled.
'Hey, it always works. Maybe it's a blessing for me,' you said. You slowly sat up and let Aya sit across your legs. You glanced up at him. 'I'm sorry I cracked so easily with them... I just wanted them to know that you're doing good. They see you as some criminal who's too far gone, but you're not like that,' you said. He looked at you and his face softened before he came over and sat beside you.
'I do care about you, Y/N. Sometimes I wish I didn't. It's easier in this life to not care about anyone, but...you make it damn hard to not care about you,' he said. You smiled a little and could see he was being genuine.
'I care about you too, Jay. Not just so I have someone to catch me everytime I pass out,' you said. He chuckled softly and looked at you.
'Yeah, well I don't mind catching you whenever you fall,' he said. You smiled and leaned in. He gently held your face in his hand and kissed you softly. When you leaned back you saw him smiling and it made you feel giddy inside to know you could make the scary red hood melt.
'So, you're not mad at me anymore?' you asked.
'No, you idiot. It's hard to stay mad at you, especially when you fall into my arms so dramatically all the time,' he said. You laughed softly and shoved him playfully.
'I know you love playing the knight in shining armour.'
