He was late today. The mysterious (and totally hot) running guy was late. Draco had already gotten through his entire yoga routine without interruption. He was shocked by how sad it made him. Now, he was just laying on his yoga mat, staring up at the clouds, waiting to hear the rhythmic padding of someone jogging toward him. It was an especially beautiful morning.
This park had always been Draco’s favorite place. It was only two blocks from his apartment, there was a gorgeous flower garden that he could walk through and forget about all of his troubles in the process, and most importantly, it was remote, so there weren’t too many passersby to stare while he did yoga every morning. At least, that’s what he thought the very first time he laid down his mat in this same grassy spot two weeks prior. Then, twenty minutes into his routine, he heard someone calling out to him.
“Keep up the great work!” Followed by the sound of someone whistling. Draco looked up just in time to catch the stranger’s wink before he jogged away. Normally, he would be furious about this. He was NOT a fan of cat calling, and he’d once broken a guys nose for simply looking at him the wrong way, but there was something about the look in this man’s eyes that was different, safe even. So, Draco let the comment go, and he continued to allow them every day for the next two weeks.
“Stretching those hamstrings like a pro, babe!”
“Such grace! Such talent!”
“Love what you’ve done with your hair today! Are those clips new?”
Every day a different encouragement or flirtatious remark followed by a wink and a grin from the same beautiful stranger as he jogged past Draco’s spot. Most day’s Draco just met these comments with a shake of his head and an eye roll. Occasionally he had enough courage to say something back.
“Nice booty shorts!” He’d called out yesterday. The stranger had turned around, jogging backwards, his whole face brightened in his delight that Draco was playing along.
“I wore them just for you, love!” And with that he turned back around so Draco could watch him jog away.
He’d replayed that encounter in his head over and over for the last 24 hours, remembering everything from the way his heart fluttered when the jogger smiled at him, to the tremendous view he had as the stranger jogged away. He’d spent the night before building up courage and practicing in the mirror. Today was the day that he finally planned to stop the mysterious jogger and have a conversation.
But the jogger never showed up.
Another twenty minutes went past before Draco decided to give up. He was just rolling up his mat when he heard a familiar voice shouting behind him.
“Wait! Hold on!”
Draco turned to see the beautiful stranger running toward him at full speed. He was a mess. His clothes were wrinkled, his socks were two different colors and lengths, and his hair was a wreck. Draco had a sneaking suspicion that he had just rolled out of bed. A suspicion that was confirmed when the stranger came to a stop directly in front of him, hunching over with his hands on his knees, fighting to speak and catch his breath at the same time.
“I…overslept this morning… was afraid… I’d missed you.”
Draco felt his face heating up. He let the stranger compose himself for a couple more seconds before speaking.
“Well, I’m here. Kind of waiting for you actually.” His voice faded out a bit at the end, and he prayed that his face wasn’t as red as it felt. The stranger looked up from his hunched position at that, and Draco was shocked by how brilliantly green his eyes were. When he stood up straight, his face lit up with a smile, it was all Draco could do to keep his knees from giving in on him.
“Harry,” he said, offering his hand. “I’m a huge fan of your work.”
“Draco,” he answered, shaking Harry’s hand. “It’s always nice to meet a fan.” There was a moment of silence then, both boys left with stupid grins on their faces, Harry’s green eyes piercing into Draco’s grey ones. Draco knew then that the wait was worth it.
“Would you like to take a walk with me, Draco?” Harry asked, breaking the silence.
“Sure, I know just the place.” He started walking toward the flower garden, and Harry fell into step beside him. “So why do you jog every day? Are you training for a marathon or something?”
“Honestly?” Harry said, his fingers brushing against Draco’s for the briefest of moments. “That first day I just wanted to clear my head. Every other day, I came to see you.”

I'm not good at understanding the word, so I hope I've got this right. I love the canon-universe compliant Hogwarts years. And text fics. Coffee shop AU. I'm having trouble thinking of any just now, so tired and hoping the baby stays also when I put him down for bed!
When you get this you have to answer with 5 things you like about yourself, publicly. Then, send this ask to 10 of your favourite followers (Non-negotiable, positivity is cool!)💖💖💖
Thank you!
I’m sure I’ve said at least some of these before but here goes :)

ok I don’t know if you’ve already done this one but #12 for the asks?
Hii!! Nope, I haven't gotten that one yet, and whoa, dark, I love it! Lol.
12. Would you want to know when you're going to die?
Yes. I didn't even really have to pause to think about it. The thing is, I tend to be pretty scared of taking risks, and it'd probably terrify me to know, but that fear wouldn't...well, kill me. Lolol. And I like planning things. I'd love to be able to say, okay, I have the time and resources to check these things off my bucket list, or to make my peace at never being able to do them. But that time would be most especially in helping to subtly prepare those who love me for my death. I'd never put the burden of that knowledge on them, but... Yeah. I'd really appreciate being able to tailor my last months, weeks, days, minutes, to make the people I love most feel happy, to give them something to hold onto afterward that might help them with their grief.
