One of the collections managers at my museum would like the primaries to be a little more separated in the spread wings. Normally, I tend to do a straight line from the skin above the elbow to the end of the outer primary, so it’s not my style but I’m doing my best.
I think accipiters look pretty good this way but the woodpeckers and the the jay look a little overextended to me. All a matter of preference… alas

Started re-pinning all the workshop wings today! Everyone did such a good job but they’d gotten a little dry in transport so I had to do a little rehydration. I love seeing all the varied thrush wings together.
I’m worried this is going to take me a month to finish… I only got 15 of 40 finished today.
