i have multiple names. i am indeed one of those transmascs who has a incredibly long list of names, and i am one of them proudly. my name is
Oscar Benjamin Rafferty Arthur Montgomery Ambrose J. Wilde Montague.
some of those names i dont really use, like Ambrose and Oscar, they're like middle names i guess.
Benjamin, Rafferty, Arthur, Montgomery are all my names though. they are my names. you cannot just use one of them, because they are all my name. Ben is my base name, its been around the longest, and especially with those who dont know many queer people, ive only recently come out too, who might struggle more with the whole multi-namign thing, i tend to be fine with them using it.
but Rafferty, Monty, Arthur, are all my names as well. they're mine you cant just use Ben unless you have a reason i see as valid, and even still in those situations, its a waiting for them to adjust, not a permanent pass.
i see a lot of people have this problem too with pronouns, my dear friend @blaze-the-world uses he/it, and literally has to specify in its bio to use both he and it, because theyre his pronouns, you cant just ignore part of it.
and thats the same with my names.
so please. call me Benjamin, Ben, Benji, Monty, Montgomery, Arthur, Art, Artie, Rafferty, Rafe, Raff, Raffy, Ty, all of those are mine, my names, they're me. but the important thing is that they are ALL me. you cant just pick one. thats me, and you cant forget a part of me just because you dont like it.
