Inv/enot/sofanthiel/gorbo/???/paincat to me is a reality bending entity who lives on a plane outside the canon as we know. Their entire existence is an enigma, an oddity, something that shouldn’t and for the most part doesn’t exist, but simply is. The world pushes and fights against them, and somehow becomes harsher than it already is, trying to force away this cursed entity like an antivirus fighting off a piece of malware.

Personality wise: I imagine it’s not far from what they’re shown to be like in the dating sim, but their mannerisms are a bit more cartoony and generally chaotic. Their face warps to exaggerate their emotions, their eyes gaining a different dimension. And their general proportions seem like a slugcat’s but there’s still an offness to how long certain parts of their body are that make them seem uncanny and off putting to the average slugcat.. if they could ever see them that is…

Inv desires to form connections with their own kind which they word it as yearning for a mate. Truthfully though, all they really want is just companionship, to not be alone, to be loved. But they never learnt how to tell the difference between that desire and a simple romantic relationship. Their existence creates a situation where they can never interact with slugcats in their own universe without disrupting the natural order of things, forced away like two south magnets, completely and utterly incompatible despite their feelings. Their campaign is merely a simulation, an imagination just set apart by 10 key presses from the world they really want to live in. What else is there to do to but thrive on the outskirts of reality, being so close but so far to their source of true happiness…

This year i decided to lean more into Inv being a wierd little creature and give this piece a more scrapbook/colage look, but i dont think i succeeded in that, probably should have leand more into them themself being put togethere from different pieces of scrap
