Ya know, one thing that would kinda suck about being sparked without getting pregnant is that it probably wouldn't stop your period. (Although I would admittedly take the periods over pregnancy any day.)

• This is some next level bullshit. It’s not like you completely understand all the alien nonsense that came with choosing one of them as a partner, but when you’d found out you were sparked, you’d had no idea what to expect. And your giant spouse hadn’t exactly been that helpful. Making it apparent that he’s just as clueless as you are. But you’d assumed that weird, alien energy pregnancy would be sort of similar to a normal pregnancy. Though you can only really sense the new spark when you’re actively in contact with Riptide’s spark. Curling into a tighter ball as another cramp hits, you press your face into a pillow and groan. Because this? It’s not fair. You shouldn’t be sort of pregnant and on your period at the same damn time.
