i started reading homestuck right around when i was entering high school and it was the first fandom i was really a part of. i made a tumblr because i wanted more homestuck content and to interact with the fandom more. it has been a special interest of mine for about 4/5 years now, and not once have i gotten tired of it.

during the hardest times of my life, homestuck was there. when i had a bad day at school, when my biological father left my family, when we were in financial ruin, when i was bullied in school and came home to physical/emotional abuse, when i was left in complete heartbreak, homestuck was waiting for me when i got home everyday. one of the most depressing and terrifying times of my life was when i left my old high school and was waiting to get into adult ed classes. i was alone, i pushed all of my friends away, and i was struggling with the worst of an eating disorder ive had for many years. homestuck is something that i put all my time and effort into, and it made me genuinely happy in a time where i didnt feel the slightest bit genuine anymore.
