#Repost @drnikkistarr with @get_repost ・・・ In less than an hour I will be concluding a 3 day water fast. No food. Only water. For 72 hours. . This isn’t the first time. It’s a way to deeply cleanse and heal the body. The organs have an opportunity to clean themselves. It’s a detox. And it also moves our body into different types of metabolism. . I often do 24 and 36 hour fasts, but when I want to go into deeper presence, healing and detox I choose 3 days. . Now I’m more accustomed to 3 day fasts so I don’t have to stay at home, but I don’t do physical exercise during this time. . I’ve been thinking about doing a 3 day fast for the past few weeks and when I was at the airport flying to NYC they were taking forever at security. Then the airline called my name over the speaker for final boarding. At first I was asking if they could please check my food bag before the others since they called my name (yes I bring my own food to the airport to ensure it’s the healthy food I choose to put in my body). They were not being helpful at. I was about to get upset and then it dawned on me. It was the universe telling me it was time to fast. So I walked away from the food and headed to the gate making it just in time as they were literally closing the door to the plane when I arrived. . During this fast, there were a few tough moments where I could feel some of my organs detoxing and that’s a sign to drink more water. Also when I walked up the stairs with some bags and felt out of breath yesterday evening. Any symptoms means to drink more water. If you’re taking any kind of prescription meds I don’t recommend a 3 day fast because they throw off your body’s natural functioning and metabolism, and they produce their own added toxins in the body. . Now I’m going to make myself a glass of fresh squeezed OJ to replenish my glycogen stores and for today I’ll eat just fruits and veggies to get me back into food. Tomorrow I’ll add grains and nuts and other healthy fats and proteins. . In celebration of the life giving element of #water #tb to the enchanting #mossbraefalls in #mountshasta .
