I'm sorting and packing things because we're moving, and I found a temple garments bag(?) β’ Someone gave this to me as a gift when Simon and I got engaged and told me I would find out what it's for when I go through the temple β’ I never went through the temple. I just didn't want to! It seemed like such a hassle and I had enough faith to believe that God wouldn't withhold any blessings if I didn't get endowed in my mortal lifeπ β’ We didn't have a temple in the area where we got married, and making a trip to the closest temple just wasn't feasible at the time. So we had a civil marriage, intending to go through the temple later when we can afford the trip etc β’ But we just kept putting it off and when bishopric started getting more pushy about it, I got spooked by that and started refusing to go on principle that they were being too pushy about it β’ Even when we lived literally 10 minutes away from a temple, I still refused to go through! β’ They didn't like that. And they ESPECIALLY didn't like that I kept telling them my faith was strong enough to NOT go through the temple β’ Anyway, I never learned what this bag was for, but I thought it was a quick sewing project the woman in my ward did for me, felt grateful for it, and tucked it away until I found out what it was for β’ And TODAY I found it again and saw this label. This is an "LDS authorized pattern"?? It's a cloth fold lock bag you weirdos!! It's one of the most basic sewing patterns!!
