I don't know how common a word this is and therefore how many people have realised this, but I physically need everyone to know that George Lucas looked at Korriban and went "i think the name Dying World fits you better".
Also the only information I can find on the word Korriban is an obscure unsourced google questions result saying it means "power is good".

A sister brought me a book today. Not a nightsister mind you, one of the other clans. She was uninterested in speaking of it, simply handed me a tome and said 'leave it somewhere when you are done', then disappeared.
I opened the book and it greeted me, words writing themselves as I watched. It introduced itself as Shin, and asked me to write my name. I made charcoal and sharpened it to write 'Jagannath'. This seemed wiser than penning my own name in my own hand, on paper that tingled with the force like the shimmer of sunlight on water.
The tome offered me knowledge in exchange for my own, then the pages all went blank. I wrote... many things. Some stray bits of knowledge, excerpts from sith scripture, idle thoughts in my mind, events from my visions long past and not yet happened, and on. It was oddly enjoyable to scrawl without the need to clarify my thoughts into some semblance of rationality, as I do here.
When at last I felt done, the words began to order themselves. The Qotsisajak cleaned itself up, translated itself into ur-kittât, and became luminous. My thoughts of the future ordered themselves into chronological order, rated themselves on probability, and came together into a section labeled 'The Prophecies of Darth Maul'. It was interesting to watch the book take all that I had given it and organize it like a strange librarian.
Then, the pages cleared again, and knowledge it did indeed share. A fair trade, by my estimate.
I... could not tolerate the thought of leaving it on some stray patch of dirt. I would sooner leave a holocron laying in the mud. Instead, I am walking toward the Singing Mountain. They may have it, our deal is done.
KOTOR in Star Wars The Clone Wars - Reference #5
As part of Yoda's trials to learn how to preserve his essence after he dies and becomes one with the Force, he has to travel to the home world of the sith in season 6, episode 13, "Sacrifice."
In this episode the sith home world is called Moraband. In the time of KOTOR, the home world of the sith is called Korriban. At first, one might think they are two separate planets; however, I like to think they are the same, and it is just that the name has changed over the millennia, just as real languages shift and change overtime. The words do sound the same, so it's not too difficult to imagine Moraband as a derivative of Korriban. There is also the fact that Korriban is the home world of the sith, and it is stated that this is Yoda's destination, despite it having a different name.
If nothing else, the geography can be used to suggest they are the same place; they both have rugged, rocky and mountainous terrain that is barren and desert-like. Compare this image of Moraband in episode 13 season 6 of The Clone Wars:
And this screenshot of the Sith Academy entrance from the KOTOR game:
Though the colours and the rock formations are slightly different, I do think the atmospheres line up pretty closely, or at least close enough for me to imagine Moraband as Korriban, just with a different name due to change over time. You can even imagine the temple Yoda goes to as part of the Valley of the Dark Lords.

First Date Fails
Feral: Invited you on a sunset stroll through the Swamp of Sacrifice. Lovely evening... until Feral unknowingly plucked a ripe mushling bloom that was giving off spores. It took three days for the side effects to wear off before you could thank him properly. You're still laughing about it -- at least you are now that you can both walk straight.
Savage: Took you to a tuk'ata cafe on Moraband to "pet the puppies" and share lattes. The big one named "Fluffy" nearly took off Savage's other arm. He adopted it on the spot. You walk him together each evening. Savage calls him your "furless fur baby."
Maul: A holocron-building and wine workshop? Just kidding. It was a double-fail assassination attempt where you lost the mark and ended up at the business end of his lightsaber for interfering. You could say Maul took you dancing, because your fancy evasive footwork and his attempt at decapitation was about as invigorating as how you spent the rest of the night later when he took you back to his ship. You didn't leave him your number. Doesn't matter. He'll find you eventually.
I love the red sith so much. I’ll never forgive Disney for canning these beautiful bastards

Featuring............COUSIN BONDING TIME!!!
What cousins, you ask? Why, it’s Luke Skywalker, Ryoo Naberrie, & Pooja Naberrie all on a mission to an old Sith planet to look for a base.
Easy peasy right? WRONG!
This is going to be a multichap since I realized I’m just having way too much fun writing the cousins and I was already 5 pages in before they even stepped foot on plant lol.

Ryoo Naberrie, when she was younger, had dreamed of being an artist, or a historian. She had loved creating art and learning about it - and over time, had formed the desire to preserve as much of it as possible.
Maybe back when she was a small child, it wouldn’t have been such a hard job. After all, Naboo was famous for its love of art, beauty, and charm.
However, everything changed with the formation of the Empire, and their accompanying censorships.
It cracked down on any and all information about the Jedi Naboo held. Confiscated parts of their history involving revolts, unfair taxation, and even locked up the majority of information on Ryoo’s own aunt - the kind, beautiful, passionate Padme Amidala.
That had been the final straw for Ryoo Naberrie.
