Could ao3 please make a sister site where I can browse thru published works and filter by trope/genre/word count/kudos/etc?
My dnf list is frankly getting ridiculous
Although, to this day, the worst book I've ever read, not school assigned reading and willingly finished, remains Fifty Shades of Grey.
I have one book lined up for December. Frankenstein reread for the #pathandpractice book club.
I will find out if my Instagram book club's December pick will be of interest to me.
Which leaves the rest of November.
Mile long TBR and all, I'm stuck. I don't know what I should read now.
Do you all like to read? What are your favorite books?
Me: reading 5 books at the same time
Also me: picks up new book and finishes within 2 days

*thinking today will be a good day for short stories*
*gets sucked into a 700+ page novel*
i feel like when i say i am a „mood reader“ people assume that i read different books within one or two genre. like i don’t plan, but pick it out due to the vibe i am feeling.
which is technically correct. but people underestimate how broad the spectrum is.
i don’t just bounce between thrillers or romance
i’ll go from animal farm to phantom and rook to that time i got drunk and saved a demon and then back to dr. jekyll and mr. hyde all in one week.
it’s not about choosing within a genre, it’s about reading whatever strikes my fancy in the moment. genre doesn’t limit me, only vibe does.
