The night was quiet, it's been 4 months since ASCF went under. Everything was back to normal, no more experiments, no more monsters, no more playing god. Freedom, to be human again.

For most anyway.

Monti laid in bed, the air was warm, welcoming, along with the lighting. A nice sunset was visible threw the window that's opposite the bed, it felt so surreal, beautiful, Monti felt like he didn't deserve to see this. But why? Why does he feel like that?

He doesn't remember anything during his time in ASCF, not much anyway. Sometimes he gets small flashback, snip bits of his memory tend to haunt, it almost felt like Kiplar was mocking him. He wouldn't be surprised.

The more he dwelled on it, the more he curled up in the bed, the more he shook wondering if he really was a bad person. What if he was a horrible man, towards Quinn, towards anyone he ever loved. Did he ever hurt Quinn? Did he ab—

"Look's like u've seen a ghost."

Quinn's voice made Monti jump slightly, he sighed, relieved that it was only Quinn. Not that anyone else lives with them, but Monti is paranoid, who wouldn't be if u went threw the same horrors.

"Hey, whats the matter?"

Quinn sat down at the end of the bed, his hand landing on Monti's calf, rubbing it. Monti winced slightly, pain shooting threw his legs, but it eventually went the more Sin messaged it.

"Nothing, just... Tired."

Quinn huffed, he saw threw Monti as clear as glass. "Right, and I'm a skinny, gorgeous, model." He mockingly slapped his stomach, it did make Monti huffed a little, his way of smiling seems he has no emotions.

"I don't know, just the usual flashbacks." Monti rolled onto his back, he looked sleep deprived, heavy bags under his corneal scarred eyes. His hair was a mess, it was all over the place, he needed a shower soon...

Quinn, got up and walked to the other side of the bed. He say back down and started to change out of his clothes before laying beside Monti, staring at him. He always thought Monti's eyes were beautiful, despite being scarred over.

"Enjoying the view?" Monti asked, his voice dull, no emotion behind it.

"Maybe I am, what are u gonna do about it?" He jokes, poking Monti's back, making him grumble. They both laid there in silence, Sin enjoying the view outside while Monti thinks, if not overthinking. As usual. The sun finally sets, leaving the sky dark, stars dotting the said night sky. It reflected in Sin's single eye as he kept looking outside the window.

"Did I ever hurt u?" That question made Quinn snap out of his trance and snap his head towards Monti who was now on his side, facing Quinn. "No, u'd yell and throw fits but nothing more then that. Why?"

Monti closed his eyes, happy that he never hurt Quinn. "I'm sorry.", "u don't need to be, I know that wasn't u, love. The Abyssal Plain can alter anyone's mind."

"Do u miss that Monti?"

"U will always be my Monti. No matter what, I will always love u, silly." Quinn pulls Monti closer, resting his mouth on Monti's hair, inhaling. "Never think I wouldn't love u." He mumbled into Monti's hair.

Monti's choked up a sob, nothing came out of his eye's but deep down he felt something. He couldn't quite put his finger on it though.

They laid in solitude, the tension around them was gone, it was now comfortable. Sin raised and rested his hand on Monti's cheek, making the other slowly open his eyes.

He stared into Sin's eyes for a while before slowly grabbing his husbands hand and gently lowering it off of his face. Eventually landing on both of their sides, where their hands stayed intertwined, Sins thumb gently rubbing the back of Monti's hand.

Monti never felt comfortable with physical touch at times, he didn't know why, and always wondered if it bothered Quinn at all.

"This is nice. Just u and me, in this peaceful moment, me and my beautiful husband." Quinn kisses Monti's forehead, making the man blush, a little.

"Ur a sap."

"Oh, am I? Last I checked, u loved it when I got all sappy over u."

Monti playfully shoved Quinn, "enough now. Let's sleep, I'm tired." Quinn nods, but he was swift enough to grab Monti and cuddle him from behind, "Goodnight, my love."
