Of course Mojo's interest,and Marius's affection for Mojo have resulted in multiple portraits in various styles.

Mojo is featured prominently,front and center,in all his glory,at Lestat's feet in the mural. (And fear not, Daniel is there too, with Armand and Marius,as he should be.)

Mojo always stops by Marius's new giant aquarium (a collective birthday gift by Lestat,Armand,Daniel,Louis, Benji, Thorne,and Sybelle) when he visits his rooms. He enjoys watching the colorful fishies!!! Even if they are behind glass like they are in a big tv,and not like the koi in the ponds he can touch with his paws if he's careful and sneaky.

Arts and crafts are something that make Mojo happy, they are fun,and messy,and make his not-humans happy,which is the most important and bestest thing in the world!!!!

Mojo adores Marius,and Marius - whose father had hounds, as such has the Roman fondness for dogs in spades - loves him right back. Sure,Mojo started out as his kid's pet,so to speak,but now Mojo is a little bit his as well. Thus is the fate of all dads whose kid acquires a pet.

When push comes to shove,Mojo knows where to find the responsible adult,that's for sure😅🥰

The Parents? Those Who Must Be Kept?

Now it's "Bestest Boy Who Must Be Given Treatos Occasionally (Please)"

Yup,that's right. The new, true,rightful Guardian of all vampires has four paws, a nearly constantly wagging tail,and loves almost everyone.

Put all your worries to rest for Mojo is immortal.

Part of the Core is inside of him.

And as you suggested there might have been a bit of an incident where Merrick did a teensy tiny spell. Twice. Due to it being unclear whether the first one worked - you know,just to be absolutely sure. Just two little kisses on that adorable big doggo noggin.

Mojo just thought that his favorite heated blanket was magic,and that he had the best nap ever.

Fresh as a daisy, no aching joints, no getting older. Mojo hasn't even had a rumbly tummy in forever. His teeth and bones are pristine. And not just because Lestat and the others take obsessively excellent care of him. Pup healthy and hale and strong as an ox (figuratively).

No one noticed for over 30 years.

Now Mojo is still just a dog. No feats of heroism (apart from being an emotional support and therapy dog to our belovd blood drinkers), no superpowers,no added preternatural senses,nothing odd or unsettling, nothing wrong at all, nothing of the sort.

Mojo is simply immortal.

Louis and Daniel had a bit of an awkward, earth shattering moment of realization at Mojo's latest routine vet checkup.

What year is it again? 2025?!?! Oh. Oh shit. That math ain't mathing.

The veteran vet assistant thought they just kept getting similar looking dogs and naming them all Mojo for some insane reason. (Stranger things have happened).

Daniel might have used his Mind Gift for something other than Vampire Walkie-Talk-ying for the first time. Guys, he panicked. Also d'awww look at our precious baby boy interviewer *wipes tears* they grow up so fast. Louis didn't even know Daniel was capable of that yet. The more you know.

No signs of aging?

What a strange question M. Pointe du Lac-de Lioncourt, you won't have to worry about that for a long time,Mojo is maybe 2 or 3 at most. Look at his perfect teeth. He is in peak condition. His labs are all perfectly fine.

Nothing...*clears throat* abnormal?

But all Mojo cares about? His two reward puppy patties on the way home. Not sure why everyone is being kinda weird when he was being such a good boy. Well,he's always a good boy but he was extra good and brave. He didn't even whimper when the evil sharp thingies came out. He hopped on the table all by himself too,Danny-friend didn't even have to pick him up.

Treats hurrah!!!! Car rides are fun yay!!!! Home again double yay!!!

Lestat was immediately defensive,he didn't do anything this time either!! He would never hurt Mojo!! He was as prepared for Mojo's eventual passing as any dog owner could be,that is he accepted it would occur,then pushed it as far away as possible in his mind. Armand, of all people, believes him first. Lestat runs off with Mojo to sulk. He wants no part in this. Mojo is here,he is healthy and happy,who cares how and why? What if asking breaks some sort of gossamer thread of life that has kept Mojo with him? They better not ruin this for him.

They kinda puzzle it out eventually. And then? Shrug it off. Everyone loves Mojo,and Mojo loves them. It's just as well that they don't have to part with him ever.

Life moves on. With Mojo. As it should.

Maybe the minutae of how really don't matter all that much. There has been a lot of pain,tragedy,grief,loss etc for our vampires.

One good thing that stays is less improbable,and no less compelling than more of the same. And if it is only in this version of events? That's okay too. The multiverse is funny like that,imho.

In conclusion: Mojo = immortal. Vampires going from "calm to panik to calm again" in record time. The vet is probably alright,brain damage wise. Or so Daniel hopes. On a related note: congratulations Daniel,let's try for the Fire and Cloud Gifts next? He really is an early bloomer. That de Romanus bloodline done did him right.

When Louis has his worst nights of depression,and Lestat,Armand,David,and Daniel have to take care of him, Mojo is right there with them. Mojo is the loving companion that reminds Louis not to get lost in his own head,and the books,and gives him someone to care for,and in the process tries to remind him that it's vital,and okay to care for oneself too.

When Marius is isolating himself Mojo comes to keep him company, as if to say "I know you feel lonely but you're not alone,and you are loved. Deserve to be loved. Don't be afraid to need and want things,to be loved. It's okay to need and want things. It's okay to want to be considered. It's okay to feel strongly. You're a person not a role." Mojo listens to the things Marius dare not, cannot, can't figure out how to say. Thinks he shouldn't even want, or was given to understand he shouldn't.

When Daniel dissociates or has a panic attack or high anxiety, Mojo helps ground him,and bring him back to the present.

When Benji feels discouraged and frustrated about not being heard,Mojo listens as if to say "Your voice is important,and I wish I could make them pause to listen when they get like this. It's not fair,and it's okay to be upset. But your voice matters,and should be heard. And it might not be much but I'm here to listen as a sign that your voice is worth listening to."

When Lestat starts feeling manic Mojo is the calm he needs. When he cries he is there to be held to make it better. When Lestat doesn't know who else to pour his heart out to Mojo is there without judgment or ulterior motives, just pure,uncomplicated love and understanding.

When Sybelle needs someone to remind her she's brave,and capable Mojo gives her a nudge to prove it to herself.

Does he hide before he has to go to the vet forcing Lestat/Louis/Marius/Daniel to go on a wild goose chase then spend a considerable amount of time coaxing him out of his hiding place? Yes.

But as long as he can hide his face against their chest when he's on the table there and they talk to him and pet him,he's invincible!!

Does he hate fireworks? Also yes. But he has an anxiety vest,blanket fort and gets to watch tv very loudly so then he's ok-ish because he is very resilient and very loved,thank you very much!

Do ghosts (except Riccardo) freak him out? Well, who wouldn't be?! Besides if his not-humans could see the shadow monster in that one specific corner of [room redacted] they'd be freaking out too. Speaking of, Mojo thinks someone should probably do something about that because that thing doesn't seem very friendly😬 Mojo even yelled at it to "scram,freak!" a million times already but it's incredibly rude and just stays there, so they might need to bring in the big guns - like an old and a young priest, some sage, or something, Mojo doesn't know,he's not an expert,he just lives here. And he's just a dog.😅

But here's the tea: Who has an entire castle full of mighty,centuries old not-humans wrapped around his big cute fuzzy paws? Yeah that's right!!! Only Mojo!!!!

So shadow monster,and other creeps better acknowledge that,and mind their manners or he'll tattle😁

He did bite a burglar,and a Talamasca guy who wanted to take him somewhere. So it's not like he can't fight when he has to. Sure,he felt very,very bad both times because hurting someone is not nice but his Not-Human was so proud of him,and gave him lots of treats and kept hugging him,so Mojo also feels kinda proud because he made his Not-Human proud. Mojo prefers not fighting though,his Not-Human was proud but also very worried and Mojo didn't like the latter.

His Not-Human cried when the Talamasca guy thing happened,and Mojo even had to go to the emergency vet because that meanie tried to give Mojo something bad,and tried to kick him. Mojo was fine but his Not-Humans were upset,and Mojo hates that. Mojo does not want to repeat that. One good but odd thing there: Angry Raccon-Like Creature (Armand) seemed very upset too,even though he usually ignores Mojo,and doesn't seem to like him much. When no one was looking he came by and pet Mojo like it was a secret. Mojo won't tell even if he doesn't understand. Angry Raccon-Like Creature is very confusing. Maybe they can be friends one day?!?!? Mojo would love that!!!!

His Not-Human is the bestest owner in the entire world,and Mojo loves him so much!!!! And tonight everyone will celebrate Mojo's Not-Human because they love him too,which makes Mojo so happy he can't sit still!!!!

Mojo helps his other not-humans prepare for 'Stat's birthday every year!!! Mojo is a very good event planner,he knows because Anca-friend (Bianca) and Ibby-friend (Sybelle) said so!!! Mojo loves helping, it's what you do when you love someone and want them to know that you care,and for them to be happy!!!!

His Not-Human's birthdays are always so much fun!!!!

Lots of gifts,and decorations,and hugs,and kisses,and laughter,and music,and everyone is in a good mood!!!! Even Angry Raccoon-Like Creature (Armand) is usually smiling a little,and gives Mojo's Not-Human a gift - and that always makes his Not-Human extra super duper happy!!! Yay!!!!

Birthdays are great because they make his not-humans happy,and get along,and just have fun!!!

Mojo always goes with Cuddle-Buddy (Louis), Suit-father (David), and Twan-friend (Antoine) when they shop for Not-Human's birthday presents!!!

Mojo loves the fun, colorful, crinkly paper and the boxes that the presents get put in,and the ribbons that go around them too!!! But what he loves most is that he knows what's inside will make his Not-Human feel happy and loved and cherished!!!

Mojo's Not-Human always gets spoiled by those he loves and love him on his special night!!! And that includes Mojo of course!!!

Mojo loves his Not-Human so much,he saved Mojo,and gave him the bestest home ever,with the bestest not-human friends who take care of him and love him and he loves them!!!!!!

And like every year Mojo is gonna go ask Twan-friend to help him put on one of those silly festive hats,and one of his bow tie collars - one with glitter,to be especially fabulous!!!

This year's birthday is smaller than usual,cozy,just the inner circle of all especially beloved not-humans but there are still lots of decorations (flowers!!! Mojo loves flowers!!! sniff sniff sniff Mojo loves sniffing flowers!!!!),and music,and singing,and dancing, cuddles,and laughter, and even a big cake shaped like an electric guitar with candles on it (Cuddle-Buddy says the nice day time humans will get to eat it so it doesn't go to waste,don't worry friends)!!!

(This year it's just Lestat, Louis, Marius, Armand, David, Daniel, Sybelle, Benji, Thorne, Cyril, Antoine, Bianca, Riccardo (newly rescued from the Talamasca building), Mojo and the Mastiffs 2.0.

Marius, Daniel and Armand are snuggling, Antoine and Sybelle are canoodling too.)

Grown-Up in Charge (Marius) and Suit-father (David) gave speeches that made Not-Human cry but that's okay because happy tears are good not bad!!! Mojo is very smart he knows when tears are good or bad,and he should because his Not-Human cries a lot,and the other not-humans cry sometimes too and as the official royal emotional support doggo Mojo had to become an expert so he could help!!

Then Mojo's other not-humans sang the birthday song for his Not-Human,and Mojo sang along of course AAAAWWWWOOOOOOO, and Not-Human got to blow out the candles on the cake yay!!

His not-humans are all so happy and cozy, taking turns dancing with each other, playing the fun music instruments and board games,and talking and joking around, all cuddled up. Not-Human is getting lots of kisses,and attention. Not-Human and Cuddle-Buddy keep holding hands,and looking deeply into each others eyes, and they've already danced all slowly,swaying,with Cuddle-Buddy's head on Not-Human's shoulder. It was very cute. His Not-Human got an entire tower of gifts to open up,and Mojo gets to help tearing the paper.

Happy Birthday Not-Human!!!!!!! Here's to a happy,healthy eternity together,with countless more fun birthday celebrations!!!

So much so that Mojo has to plan for a lot more naps in the nights afterwards!!

There is so just much to see,and sniff,and help with,and do!!!

This year Mojo is going to be a musketeer,then Superman (Super-Mojo!!! YAY!!!!),and even wear a pretty cravat and ruffles for the ball!!!

Not-Human (Lestat),Angry Raccoon-Like Creature (Armand), Danny-friend (Daniel), Twan-friend (Antoine), and Jiji-friend (Benji) love Halloween!!!

Mojo's Not-Human,and Angry Raccoon-Like Creature are always up as soon as they can,and they are so excited,and happy that Raccoon doesn't even mind Mojo tagging along,and jumping around while they get dressed up (they have the best costumes)!!! Every year when Mojo's Not-Human wakes up he rolls over,looks at Cuddle-Buddy with a big smile and gives Cuddle-Buddy a big kiss even if Cuddle-Buddy isn't quite awake yet, Not-Human says it's tradition!!! Not-Human sings a lot on Halloween,and it makes Mojo all wiggly happy!!!

Mojo loves all of the decorations,they are so fun!!! He loves helping to put them up!! Mojo doesn't mind the ones that make noise,because he is very brave,and it's fun to nudge them so they do it again and to bark at them!!!

Mojo always gets a special dinner on Halloween,so he looks forward to that every year!!

Jiji-friend got his wish again (like every year) and Mojo got to help with the pumpkin carving,and even got (dog safe) pumpkin soup and (dog safe) pumpkin pie as treats!!! Grown-Up in Charge,and Anca-friend (Bianca) even got Mojo's other not-humans to carve pumpkins too!!! Not-Human kept laughing at Cuddle Buddy's (Louis) and Suit-father's (David) faces when they were taking out the gross insides from the pumpkins,and even tried to throw some at Raccoon but he accidentally got it all over Slightly Less Scary Lady (Pandora) instead😅😬

Early in the evening the little humans from the villages are invited to come by and Mojo helps giving them candy!!! Mojo loves their colorful costumes,and they are always excited to see Mojo!!!! Sometimes there is a little blonde girl in a cute costume and Not-Human's eyes go soft,and then he gives the little girl extra candy. Mojo is always on the look out for a blonde girl because it seems to mean a lot to his Not-Human to spoil one. Mojo isn't sure why but that's ok,Mojo is happy to help even if he doesn't quite understand - he thinks maybe his Not-Human lost someone like that a long time ago. Cuddle-Buddy doesn't always come to that event but his eyes get soft too when he sees what Not-Human is doing,and they sit next to each other and hold hands,and Not-Human kisses Cuddle-Buddy's hand,and then they are ok again,and Not-Human is bubbly again, which is good because Mojo doesn't like when his not-humans are upset!!!

But Mojo also has a very important task to fulfill because he has to check up on Grown-Up in Charge (Marius) on Halloween - Mojo doesn't know why but he always seems a little sad and distracted,and Mojo doesn't like it,luckily Danny-friend and the other not-humans seem to sense that too,and have started trying to be extra kind to him on Halloween. Danny-friend loves giving Grown-Up lots of hugs on Halloween, while Not-Human and Raccoon keep trying to distract Grown-Up to stop him thinking about whatever is making him upset,Mojo isn't sure if that really helps but they mean well and that matters too.

Mojo wants Grown-Up in Charge to know that it's ok to be a little sad about something bad that has happened,and that he loves him so much!! Mojo needs to give snuggles,and glare at Weird Grandpa (Teshkamen) and Green Man (Mael) so they don't say anything not nice to his Grown-Up again!! Mojo isn't sure how many times he has to be steal Weird Grandpa's stuff for him to understand that he has to be nice to Grown-Up but it's been taking way too long for his taste - maybe Mojo needs a new plan soon. If Mojo could speak English he could just tell Weird Grandpa but he can't so he'll have to think of something. Usually Grown-Up in Charge is back to smiling a little more when he sees the little humans arrive in their costumes,and when he sees how happy the other not-humans are!! Danny-friend always flits between Raccoon,and Grown-Up,and Raccoon usually comes to sit on Grown-Up's lap,and hugs him tightly when everyone is busy too!!! Which is very sweet and Mojo loves how Grown-Up's face is just so full of love when he looks at Raccoon,and Danny-friend, and Not-Human, everyone having fun!!!

Mojo loves that his smol not-human buddies (Notlings) usually come visit for the ball,they all want to pet Mojo,and play with him,and are dressed up too!!!

So yes Mojo has so much to do,and places to be,and love to give,and funny little humans and big and smol not-humans in costumes to admire!!!

Mojo occasionally has objections to Lestat's busy schedule. Now he has plenty of loving non-humans to hang out with but sometimes a dog just wants *their* Number 1 person,you know?

Well, said Number 1 can't leave the house if he can't properly preen himself beforehand, now can he?

Maybe his shoes just go *poof* or they are suddenly mismatched.

Where did Lestat's coat go? (Mojo put it in the nearest coffin,he was just tidying up,pinky promise).

Lestat takes all of this with good humora,and many apologies to Mojo.

As for the sink? Louis has given up trying to figure out how Mojo keeps ending up in such absurd places. To be honest,he kind of empathizes with the protests, even if the methods are questionable. Oh and yes, a very amused Louis does watch Mojo switch or pilfer Lestat's shoes without saying or doing anything, he just pretends to be too engrossed in whatever book he is reading,or procedural is on tv.
