They hang off each other as they stagger around the streets, talking Far Too Loudly for everyone else nearby to hear. They're generally heard before they're seen

If one of them falls over, they stay lying on the floor while the other one either unsuccessfully tries to help him up, or lies down with him while they carry on talking as if nothing happened

I know for a fact that they do that thing where they take turns jumping on each other's backs for a piggyback ride and direct each other where to go while yelling and hyena laughing as they stumble around and walk into things

Something other people don't always appreciate, is when they take to singing and dancing around in the streets. They don't care though, if someone yells at them to shut up from out a window somewhere, they just laugh and shush each other before twirling down the street singing again (probably louder than before), usually until they fall over

One time they woke up in the forest by a stream with suspiciously damp hair and their clothes haphazardly tossed up into the branches of a nearby tree. They still have no idea what happened and Nicki never did find his other shoe

Anything they say sober isn't often actually funny but when they're drunk their jokes are even less funny and yet they seem to find them even more hilarious to an irritating degree

Lestat is a canonical crier as we know but he's no better when he's drunk, and usually when he finds something (or nothing) to cry over, it ends with him leaning on Nicki, getting his clothes all snotty and wet, all while Nicki pats his head and drunkenly spouts some nonsensical words in a poor attempt at making him feel better

Sometimes they go back to the chateau after staying at the inn for a while and they'll be giggling and shushing each other as they trip up the staircase to Lestat's room. This has gotten them caught a few times, though luckily by Gabrielle more often than not

Most of the time they just have their Golden Moments but they will also get horny and have sex sometimes. If they're too drunk though, it's mostly them tripping over to get to the bed and giving each other messy handjobs with even messier kisses

Their drunk sex often involves a few slip ups and a lot of laughing, sometimes to the point where they have to stop before anything else happens. Lestat also has less volume control than usual once he's got a couple bottles of wine in him, so Nicki either has to cover his mouth or they have sex outside and away from people so Lestat can moan to his heart's content

When their Golden Moment has passed and they have nothing at all left to say, they'll lie either on a bed or on the floor and simply enjoy each other's company in silence. Lestat sometimes likes to stare at Nicki with a dopey look on his face and touch him for the sake of touching him, not even in a sexual way, just tracing his fingers over his face and his body because he likes being near him. He especially likes to kiss his fingers one by one and memorise all the callouses from the violin

and so for weeks after daniel would wake up in their apartment with every towel in the place staring at him like

in armand’s case it’s marius talking abt what amadeo was up to when human, daniel going “no way :000” and armand going “DAD STOOOOOP YOU’RE EMBARRASSING ME” or the ancient vampire equivalent to that or just pouting really hard

In the scene where Marius and Amadeo talk about making Amadeo Marius's mate, Marius hints to him that Amadeo to become one must give up his mortal passions and Amadeo drags him into the bedroom and Armand in his memories says:

In Italian this sentence is translated as "lo conquistai, rendendolo mio prigioniero" (nghhhh so sexy in italian 🥵🥵🥵) which is a very good translation, but the same verb (conquer in italian) is used in two other sentences where Amadeo talks about "conquest" when he has active relationships with other men:

In short, for Amadeo fucking another man is a conquest, something truly manly (ah, the ancient Scandinavian blood in his veins is boiling! Uncle Thorne is proud of you!)

Almost certainly that sentence Armand says remembering that night refers to the fact that he brought Marius into the bedroom, ending the argument, and what happened we will never know. We do know that Marius sends Amadeo to brothels because he wants him to have every human experience before he becomes a vampire (which Amadeo wants).

Amadeo is a very dominant character, he submits to Marius' will consciously (and he is the only one he does it with), but he always does it by dominating the situation. He is the kind of sub who yells at his dom to spank him harder 😏😏😏

So for me it is absolutely no problem to think that Amadeo convinced Marius to go into the bedroom to "show him he is a real man," despite the fact that Marius said a moment earlier that he could not enjoy certain things. But we also know how devoted Marius is to Amadeo (his words from B&G, I'm not making anything up) and so I don't think it was a big deal to allow his pupil to possess him, at least once, even if Marius cannot enjoy sexual contact. However, Marius knows how much Amadeo wants him, even when he returns from the brothel, after fucking the most beautiful women in Venice, Amadeo wants him, carnally. He lets Amadeo "play with him as his teachers had played with me" so for me he may have gone even further. Marius does not say much more than "carnal embraces" and "our private encounters had even become more intimate." But Marius is also the kind of man who blushes if asked about sex, canon 😏

I could also mention that scene where, after the transformation, Marius tells Amadeo to drink from him again, and Amadeo does it very violently, so much so that Marius falls to his knees and laughs! 🥵🥵🥵

Absolutely I do! I don't think of them as like, each others true soul mate or anything lol, but I think there are a lot of interesting possibilities with their dynamic and relationship as established in canon that I would have loved to see explored more in the later books, but thankfully we have fic for that (and @covenofthearticulate has kept me well fed in this ship for a while now!).

From Daniel's perspective, I think Louis's impact on his life and his psyche is pretty hard to overstate. When he's dying and being turned, it's Louis he sees welcoming him to the dark gift. Louis changed the entire trajectory of his life and rewired his little freak brain.

From Louis's perspective, Daniel might not live rent free in his head the way he does in Daniel's, but Louis still has to reckon with the fact that he confided his life story in a guy that he definitely didn't expect to still have to talk to 50 years later lol. But also by taking Louis's story and sharing it, Daniel did have a significant impact on Louis's life by leading Lestat back to him and kickstarting the events of the chronicles.
