Just as the Happiness Day left us, here comes some of the biggest day full of celerbation! Today is: World Poetry Day, Elimination of Discrimination, International Day of Forests. 

The world should have something to celebrate about everyday indeed! But why do we have 3 in one day though? 

We shalt bid thou farewell with a wee poem we found about chilli!

Look at this magnificence! 

Tabasco Spicy Chocolate 

Well! Guess what! We are not the only ones known as “Chili” around. The known girlband group TLC has their very own Chilli as well! Her nickname Chilli was what the C stands for in TLC! 

Wait, do any of you still remember TLC?

Yep! These people! And most recently, Bastille did a cover of this song and The XX’s Angels, naming his cover “No Angels”. It was great! Some of you might have even hear it before:

Back to Ms Chilli, she is now an entrepreneur,  started her own handbag business in the past Bags by Chilli, and she’s into fitness now too! Damn! Follow Ms Chilli, if you’re interested to find out more ;)

Feel the love in the air! To those of you with dates or with friends, or love yourself more than anyone else in the world, happy valentine’s day to you! Even if you love yourself most, hey who can blame you! After all, love makes the world go round, right? That’s why there’s Valentine’s Day..? 

Nope! Not at all! In fact, St Valentine’s Day is a day to commemorate martyrdom. Little is known about St Valentine’s, however, there were three known Valentines (or Valentinus), and all of them were martyrs. One legend has it that a Saint Valentine was continuing to marry young lads even though it was outlawed for them to get married then, as young lads were better soldiers without wives or children. Of course, his lovely deeds were known soon enough, and *insert sword sound effect*, he was ordered to be dead.

Fast forward to the more recent history, in 1929, a massacre of 7 victims happened when two gangs had a shoot-out; it was a fight for the control of territories. This will go down in history as one of the main events that led to the fall of the big-time gangster Al Capone - Also known as, Scarface. Yep! The gangster whom inspired the story of the movie Scarface, also the classy gangster that made the fedora hat and stripy suits become a thing. Come on, this gangster really knows a thing or two about style! Even his gang is named the Chicago Outfit (Ok, fine, he has nothing to do with the naming of it, but still!)!

So! Mofos, what makes the love is love. Not the day, and not due to history created by other people in the past. As we can see, the history on this very day, isn’t so pretty! So here’s to more chocolates, and love! And also, guess what we found? Apparently the spiciest chocolate to be found right now! It’s even aptly named “Instant Regret”. So try a different kind of Valentine’s Day now! ;)

So, the third Monday of January every year has the whole world celebrating the life of true hero who has fought for civil and political rights equality amongst races and religion.

Amongst other speech and quotes, Dr King is most notably known for his 17-minutes long speech entitled “I have a Dream”, hailed as a masterpiece of rhetoric, which has changed history and made USA the land of free that it is today.

He has held the government accountable for their promise of "we hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal”, just as Singapore has pledged “ourselves as one united people, regardless of race, language or religion”.

Let us never forget the fights the heroes of our past have fought for us, and fight on to keep our nations and people free!
