Feedback - Ways of Seeing and ISMS;
On Thursday we were put into groups, and had a group feedback session with our tutor to see how we were doing and determine what work we still have yet to do. It was a way of us gaining feedback from a variety of people, and seeing how we can improve what we are doing.
I was pleased with the feedback that I got, reassuring me that I am working in the correct way and the quantity of work I am producing is good. I was advised that I need to work on my sketching technique, which I think will develop on its own with practice. What I now need to do for the ‘ways of seeing’ brief, is to...
Select my favourite outcome design, and begin to draw it in 3D as well as doing some models to see how it would work as a physical outcome. By doing some modelling it will now also help me to visualise the outcome, and therefore will help me draw it.
I could also do with doing a bit more experimentation in regards to textures and physical ways of developing my work, rather than just sketching.
I have only touched upon ideas such as optical illusions, so I now need to go back and produce some optical illusions of my own - looking into youtube videos on how I can draw these myself.
Continue to look back in my sketchbook and work that I have done - this is something that everyone has been advised to do. It is important that we are continually reflecting on the work that we have been doing, and looking at it for inspiration.
I also gained good feedback for my ‘isms’ work, where I was encouraged to continue on the path I was heading. To develop in this brief I need to...
Think about textures - including them in the actual text and as part of the background
Think about where the type will be placed on my A2 poster
Think about the background of my A2 poster
Overall I am pleased with the progress that I am making in this module, and there does not appear to be any major problems occurring. I plan on continuing to work how I am, and I have a clear direction in which I need to go.
