thinking about orphaning mmard… it’s probably always gonna be my most popular fic but im just not proud of it like. at all. i don’t want to fully delete it but for the very few phannies that follow me still…. help lol
completely forgot that mmard turned one year old on sunday! what a year it’s been, i’m so thankful that so many of you have been enjoying it and i promise i haven’t abandoned it, the next chapter should be up soon! thanks for reading my fic that was supposed to be only one chapter long (and originally was going to be a football game instead of swimming lessons and the opening scene was going to be noah and ethan having a fight- HA! how weird) as well as giving me the confidence to keep writing it even when i doubted myself! happy belated birthday mmard, you are my beautiful, ugly, weird and amazing brain child 🖤

new mmard chapter is kicking my butt, but i am determined to get through it and make it good. here’s a lil sneak peak for those that have been asking!
“I’m sorry I never explained to you before,” Dan tells him in a quiet voice. The rain outside almost drowns it out if they weren’t sat so close.
Phil uses it to his advantage and places his hand on Dan’s thigh. “You didn’t have to,” Phil reminds him.
“We’re doing this at our own paces, yeah?”
Big, brown eyes flicker carefully over his face, until Dan swallows and nods.
“Yeah,” he whispers. “Okay.”
“Okay,” Dan whispers back, sniffing.
Thunder rolls somewhere in the far distance, cracking above them that makes Phil want to hold Dan tight and close; he’s not afraid of storms, he probably likes them more than the average human does, but it still somehow gives him the instinct to want to hold and protect.
It had been storming that one night on the isle when Dan left. He hadn’t held Dan that time, and he’d managed to slip through his fingers because of it. Because of a lot of reasons.
Phil squeezes his hand tight and runs his thumb over his knuckles. He won’t let go this time.

for the people asking about mmard - chances are i’m probably gonna take another break :) i have all 25 advent fics to write and post through december and alongside life being busy rn i won’t have time to try and write and update it. i think i’m gonna come back to it in january if not, i’ll try and maybe have something written after christmas before new years :)
