It was bad, right, jessica? Like you guys said? Is he even worth the money?

Shannon probably found Driver awake at four AM or something trying to hide the evidence of the soaked couch. Maybe scrubbing it himself or turning over the cushion.

What if he was more concerned with ruining Shannon’s furniture than himself. Shannon finds him trying to clean up in his still soaked pants.

He'd want to fix it before Shannon or Irene woke up- it's his mess he made, they shouldn't have to be forced to help him with something bad he did💔

Driver would definitely be more worried about cleaning up over taking care of himself!

So, Shannon stumbled outta bed when he heard the consistent noise of scrubbing coming from the living room- he wasn't exactly sure what he was expecting to see but....it certainly wasn't what he was currently seeing

Driver was on his knees, a small bowl of soapy water on the coffee table and a dishcloth furiously scrubbing at the cushions with an unmistakable wet spot- Shannon flipped on the light and blinked slowly when Driver instantly tried to turn his body away from the older man.

Shannon sighed as he walked closer and saw how drenched Driver's pants are and how Driver was trying very hard not to shiver.

"Alright, up you get, kid," Shannon says, taking the dishcloth from Driver's hand and plopping it in the bowl, "you're not giving yourself a rash."

Driver bites on his lower lip, "but..." he gestures weakly to the half cleaned cushion.

Do you think Shannon was maybe the one who bought them for him in the first place? It was meant to be a joke at first; just some light-hearted ribbing since Driver can never seem to keep his pants fully dry. He apologized when he saw Driver getting upset and embarrassed about it. He only wanted to tease him not actually hurt the kid over it.

Then a few days later; Shannon watches Driver lean over while working on an engine and sees a few of those cartoon cars peeking out over his waistband.

Shannon won’t mention it, but he will be smiling to himself all day thinking about it.

Shannon initially buys them as a gag gift after Driver's stunt gig for a film where the main character (who Driver stunted for) was called a "pamper packer"- saying they were to help Driver "get into the role" (and definitellllly a bit for the fact Shannon had seen Driver's less than dry pants after a few days on set-)

Omggg Driver getting all embarrassed, jaw tightening and doing that shuddering chest thing one does when they're kinda caught between upset and wanting to cry!

Shannon ofc instantly apologizes, saying he didn't mean anything by them, he just thought they'd be a silly gift!
