Random ass miraculous ask, but how do you feel about Derision? I've only recently been interacting with the mlb fandom again (because of toxicity) and noticed that almost everyone seems to hate that episode, and I can't fathom why. It didn't stand out to me as bad, and I don't think Kim was out of character since he had a crush in Chloe in season 1. So what am I missing? I'd love to know

I think people were upset about it because they felt it was too late to insert such a backstory, for me I felt like it did somewhat make sense but also like the way things were executed weren’t like the best? idk also i think some chloe fans were upset that she was being demonized further but I’ve never really cared for chloe as a character so I didn’t really care how they portrayed her oops ❤️ but also i think it kind of made Kim’s characterization dead in the water how do u come back from being THAT stupid 😭😭 fandom will never not hate him now but at the same time he’s low key a permanent holder 😭😭😭

well chat noir used to give ladybug flowers on the daily but he didn’t know how to be insane enough to match marinette’s freak so adrien made abstract art in the form of yarn, burnt-to-a-crisp cake, and bought her a rack of lamb, because they were out of beef ribs. because his beef ribs got stolen. thereby matching her freak to unfathomable degrees
ok so like. when ladynoir throw out lines that sound objectively flirty. what is their consensus on that. did they go through a dry spell where because they were seeing other people they thought cool awesome puns with romantic overtones would be disrespectful and so they started to just not really say anything fun during battles and they had to have a talk about that.
“what if we just started saying epic superhero puns again it’s getting kind of anticlimactic to save you from death and not say anything interesting as i do it”

is it not incredibly funny that adrien excelled at everything he took a class for at school, many of which could be utilized for romantic gestures, perhaps even all of them—only to decide to try his hand at the one thing he apparently sucks at. making clothes! because marinette is good at it and likes it. that would be like if marinette joined a marathon because adrien likes running now and did that as a romantic gesture. actually. i’m surprised she hasn’t done that yet
‘how does adrien not know ladybug is marinette!!!’ well you see. ladybug is incredibly busy saving Paris all day every day, being guardian and coordinating the other holders for training and akuma battles as well as gradually developing plans to retrieve the butterfly miraculous. she is the busiest person in the world even if this were all she did. and his girlfriend marinette is incredibly busy all day every day taking care of all their friends’ day to day problems such as their latest insecurity, deep-seated emotional issues, or some minor inconvenience affecting their life slightly. also, she’s constantly developing extremely creative, intricate, and deeply complicated ways to tell adrien she loves him. some of which involve choking hazards. if anything, the crazy thing would be to assume one singular human being could perform the roles and responsibilities of ladybug AND marinette simultaneously, wouldn’t it. oh yeah and also quantum masking
