9 squares into my memory blanket
I'm almost done with two rows!
does anyone know how to stop my mitered square from coming out kite shaped? im using worsted weight yarn, on size 8 needles (I tried size 10 as well, which also came out very much NOT a square, and i don’t have any 9s), casting on 40 stitches, decreasing by 2 every row
i tried googling it, but apparently this problem is only had when people try stockinette mitered squares, and its something to do with your row height being bigger than your stitch length, which im assuming i’ve managed to do in garter stitch. my question is, since changing my needles just made a kind of rhombus, should i decrease faster? or what
Third square is attached! I'm really excited about this project, even though I'll probably never finish it

A mighty mitered crochet square: http://www.crochetbug.com/a-tale-of-eight-squares/
This thing is difficult to take a picture of! Started working on it again. I want to finish it sometime, so, I need to make some progress. It has been sitting in a bag since we moved back in early June.
