I finished knitting my first pair of socks please clap
Made them with a mystery cashmere blend yarn I bought second-hand and some kid silk mohair I wanted to use up. They are surprisingly comfy and not itchy.

Pattern: Moonchild Top by raii
Yarn: Noro Koma in Hikobashi
I had such a fun time making this! I love the striping of the yarn and it actually blocked out so well compared to fresh off the needle
Finally took the time to set and ball my handspun! This is everything I've spun from around mid-February to now on my new favorite Schact 1oz drop spindle.
Fiber from Greenwood Fiberworks, Murky Depths, and Keira Wiggins Fiber in Polwarth, Polwarth/Silk, Merino, and Merino/Silk/Cashmere
And just like that, buttons are on and my modified loupy studio cardigan is finished!
the vision i had for this fibre is really working out, entrelac + handspun is so good
tracking progress on this hanui braid 𓆈

My wips this week - a sweater that is ready to be done, a cozy bandana and the start of an mkal!!
Socks!!!!
Pattern is the cathedral socks by the knitting goose on ravelry
This was so fun but god I need a break from socks
I realized that I’ve gifted 5 scarves now but have never made one for myself. So I decided to try cabling for the first time and make myself a scarf! Cables are actually so much simpler than I realized!
Also it seems I am drawn to this goldenrod color….
First jumper is almost complete 😮💨
It’s been hard work learning lots of new things as I go. Only things I’ve made prior to this are a scarf and teddy bear jumpers (which are way easier without all the shaping needed for people clothes)
And of course I’d be near to finishing this just as we’re in a heatwave so I won’t even get to wear it 😭
Third big knit ever— summer socks!! :)

I'm getting the hang of support spindling! Most fun you can have with 15g of Corriedale.
Finally bought some dye and have been having so much fun with optical color mixing. I decided to start with cmyk primaries to get some vibrant color options.
So far I've only mixed up the main batch of colors, but I'll split them up and create a palatte of tints and shades once I have access to a scale again.
I don't have any fancy tools and have been blending the fiber by hand, so it's probably best I have a forced break for the sake of my fingers. Once I'm done I should have a very useful set of 57 2g swatches to play with! (Plus 5 more for a set of grayscale swatches)
If I'm still up for it, I might repeat the whole thing with my classic red, yellow, blue primary dye set. For a truly massive set of heather swatches.
I forgot to post these finished Memento Mori Socks I knit a few months ago! I finally sewed in the ends and am ready to gift them to who they’re made for
Took a sock knitting workshop and am in the process of making my first pair of socks. Using the pattern The I’m So Basic Sock by Summer Lee Design Co. Easier than expected but wanna get different needles, not the biggest fan of the ones I picked up at the local yarn shop
Hey guys I learnt how to knit

WIP Wed: enter my sock maze boy
Not actually a maze although I might try charting a sock maze at some point I'm sure it could work. Adding that idea to the infinite project backburner.
Went outside for good lighting so the colors are accurate for once. I continue to be a huge fan of the yarn it is so pretty. Also tried a shadow wrap heel for the first time, which is basically a far superior short row heel and I will never be doing a short row heel again.
Gonna knit the leg until I reach 80 or so grams of the MC or it feels long enough and then knit the cuff. Thinking I can get two whole pairs of sock out of the MC at approximately 25 grams a sock. Hopefully!
I knit this kerchief! Pattern by tincanknits. It was very fiddly and took me forever but I like how it turned out.
