Misto was lowkey my introduction to the Cats fandom. Unfortunately, my 1st exposure to the musical came from that abomination of a movie, Cats 2019. I didn’t care for it much but the name “Magical Mister Mistofelees” got stuck in my head bc of the song. A few years after watching the movie, I was talking to these 2 people about different musicals we liked/disliked. I brought up Cats & referenced the song Magical Mister Mistofeelees However, these 2 people didn’t know the song I was referencing and they were like:

“Who’s that? That’s not Cats! ‘Memory, all alone in the Moonlight’”

Then I spent like 3ish years gaslighting myself into thinking I hallucinated some weird magician cat into a musical I firmly believed I didn’t like.
