#mission map

Designed and tested in Shadowrun 5E, the Fenrir offices are a simple set up to provide the maximum flexibility to the GM. The core concept for this map was that I wanted to design an office built in an interesting shape. In this case, the old Norse bind rune for protection. Feel free to work that into the story surrounding the building or just go with it as an interesting architectural fact, whichever better suits your game!

On a personal note, unrelated to the map, recent events involving SCOTUS and Roe v Wade have me fighting anxiety regularly. It isn’t just women’s rights that will be jeopardized, but access to contraceptives, marriage rights, and a litany of other rights whose rulings could be overturned using the same logic that could overturn Roe v Wade. I’m not looking to panic anyone; this is a cartography blog. I’m just asking you, if you’ve got the energy and resources, to act. Contact your state and national senators. Urge them to codify laws to protect rights that have previously only been protected by SCOTUS rulings. It may be all we can do, but we need to do it.

R7-A32 was built for Shadowrun but could easily be incorporated into Numenera as a ruin, Cyberpunk as a black lab, Savage Worlds, Star Wars, frankly literally any system with a bit of tech in it. I’m sure you could also make adjustments for classic D&D as well, but I don’t have the idea off the top of my head!

On a final note that should probably be its own post but isn’t, I’m adjusting the publication schedule of maps. From now on, you’ll be getting one map per month, with a few bump-reblogs of that map throughout the month. Because burn out sucks y’all.

The first map you see is a sewer system deep beneath a city, leading to a naturally formed cave system complete with valuables vault and a creature lair. Remove some of the obstacles to have your players searching the sewers for in game days, or use more rubble to send them down a more linear path.

The second map is that of a lost smithy, deep beneath a volcano or mountain. The place has been lost to memory and is full of subterrainean creatures, lost secrets, and more than a few surprises (if you so choose!)

The estate consists of servants quarters, security, a few private galleries and studies, as well as a floor of bedrooms. Feel free to, obviously, adjust as necessary for your purposes! The lore for this one is gonna be a little short, considering it really is just a manor house, but that’ll be posted on Monday as always!
