A park in a fashionable bourgeois neighborhood, surrounded by elegant townhouses. Perfect for strolls in the morning and evening, or clandestine meetings, following suspects, and other roguish deeds. The city watch will likely maintain a regular presence here to ensure the peace is kept.

Warm, placid waters and beaches of golden sand would make this small atoll seem like a paradise, but the shallow waters around the island hide dangerous reefs. A small vessel has run aground and its survivors are desperate for rescue.

Trade routes snake across the continental interior, connecting the kingdoms of the west and great empires of the east. The immense riches that flow both ways attract bandits, warlords, and others that would prey upon the merchants and caravans. Fortified outposts have been established at regular intervals along these great trade routes in which travelers can seek shelter, resupply, and make deals.

The courtyard of this particular outpost is ringed by one-room chambers that are rented by visitors and used as storefronts during their stay. These storefronts display a variety of spices, exotic fruits and produce, fabrics and textiles, and trinkets (both magical and mundane). Those who can't afford or don't wish to rent a chamber can camp in the courtyard for a small fee. The courtyard and shops are surrounded by an outer ring of stables to accommodate the large numbers of camels and horses that caravans rely upon.

Another remaster of an older map: Despite the cold and a fresh blanket of thick snow, the gardens of the Duke's estate are still a playground for his guests. Those allowed within these exclusive grounds may partake in ice skating, wonder at exotic flora in the greenhouse, find secluded spots for conversation, and enjoy food and drink in the warm pavilion. 

Changes:

Improved lighting and shadows.

Removed fence along paths, replaced with terrain contour and lights on posts.

Added frost on pond ice.

Moved & added trees for better visual balance.

New roof view.

A large, two-tiered garden full of colorful flowers that overlooks the sea. Shade trees and coastal winds keep the local nobility and their attendants pleasantly cool while they stroll through the garden and scheme under the vine covered pergolas.

The seaward approach is guarded by fortification emplaced on the cliffside (accessed by tunnels running under the estate), but wards and alarm spells have caught more than one spy or thief that underestimated the chateau's defenses. +++

Remaster of an early inn map:

The Camar is a working-class inn located next to the docks. It is popular with sailors looking for cheap drinks, a bed, and a good time. In addition to his legitimate business, the Camar's owner dabbles in pit fights to boost his profit margins. The pit fighting is an open secret with the city guard, but as long as there are no deaths or serious injuries, and so long as the appropriate 'fees' are paid off, they have no reason to investigate.  The cheapest rooms are small and crowded double bunks, though those with extra coin in their pockets can rent a more comfortable shared room. Two private rooms are available for guests who can afford it, which come with access to a private bath. Changes:

Reworked lighting and shadows

Added numerous small details

Reworked docks, boats, and waves.

Expanded fighting pit in basement and removed two benches to clear up movement obstacles.

Added roof layer so it can be used as a dockside street map instead. 

The Atelier [28×36]

Our latest map to kick off 2024 is our Atelier map set! Heavily inspired by Quifrey's Atelier from the manga series “Witch Hat Atelier” this multi story cottage is a great home base for a group of casters or a place for a party to seek out advice. 

Each variation in the set includes a gridded and ungridded version.
