And OMG it feels like everything I see is brighter, everything I taste is sweeter.... nothing could rain on my parade bc I'd still find something beautiful to see. Im grateful to be in this place but I realize, while so many of us truly desire it, we pray for it....we don't know how to receive love...because combat is all we know...defensive living is normalized. We hurt and cry behind closed doors, wanting intimacy, wanting to be soft, but feeling as if we have no choice but to stay guarded. But my love, you have a choice.
